Edit: or is it like Dota where they spawn at a certain time regardless of when the creeps died? Small camps are on a 100 second timer after they're cleared, buff camps are on a 5 minute timer, Dragon is on a 6 minute timer, Baron is on an 8 minute timer.

I for one would very much be interested in said list. if you hit the minion and the minion dies because of that hit you get gold which can be used to buy items. it doesn't matter how many times you hit it as long as you are the one that delivers the killing blow. High-Elo players refer to this as "last-hitting." What I don't get is why would I want Items? I mean all I see is armors, rings and swords. My character allready looks cool in the sword and armor he is in, why would I want to change? Also, if I were to deck him out in crystals and rings he would look so damn camp, and I'm a really hard guy so my hero needs to reflect that. Why are so many people telling me vamp sceptor first is bad? Lifesteal is GOOD! You attack the creeps and get health back, so you don't need hp pots!

lol what? the creeps = your enemies army, you attack them so your army is stronger than theirs and overwhelms it... that is the whole point of the game, support your army so they can seige the enemy base

Good right? Wrong. When yours is stronger it pushes closer to the enemy turret. The enemy has safety under his turret, you however are in a dangerous position being farther away from your turret. A jungler can gank you easily if you are too far forward.
yes pushing lanes does kill towers faster but if the enemy hero is under the tower 99% of the time your "pushing" is more detrimental to your own health than to the health of the tower.

One of the things I noticed when playing with some friends on vent was that they really didn't grasp the finer points of lane control, and from reading some posts on here.
I'm by no means a master, but comments I heard from my friends like "Omg this noob ashe is so annoying, she keeps auto attacking while i'm only last hitting and then i get pushed to my tower and miss a bunch of CS".
Auto attacking other than to get last hits isn't necessarily a bad thing. It can be a good strategy to push to their tower if the opponent has trouble last hitting at it and you would have trouble zoning him if the creeps were pushed towards yours. Of course you have to be aware of ganks etc.
But long story short, 'autoattacking' isn't to LoL players what pork is to Muslims, there can be a time and a place for it. It's a valuable tool in your arsenal of lane controlling options.

You dont understand gt. I have evidence that Caller was the mastermind behind the whole thing. Meet me behind the warehouse on 5th av tomorrow at 5 and Ill tell you what I know.
*bump*
Oh shit! Someone's here! Get back! Get back I say! No! No! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!

But then where do I get the heal from my vamp sceptor? D: Maybe I'll go attack the rolling dude with a blue bubble thing. He can take lots of hits and lets me get hp back :D
Edit: It's actually a really GOOD IDEA The rolling, for some reason, takes less damage, so you can attack him even more for MORE HEALTH Seriously, why didn't you guys tell me this before? O_O

Mate I play Garen. Have you seen that guy? He is like 3 meters tall and got a even bigger sword. Why would I care if some wolfdude and a girl with a teddy tries to kill me? I can just smak them in the face and then just kill their statue thing.

Nah, Ignite > smite Does the SAME THING, and it also works on rabid wolves and yetis I find in the jungle
Nah, the little dude with the sword is actually OP, cuz he can split himself and also he never dies. I know you can kill him, but he keeps coming back.

Yes i figured you were but some people who read this would be totally lost cuz of u
Some things to take into account while auto attacking in a lane:
Cons: -pushing in the lane puts you in a dangerous position because of a gank on the enemy team -if you have any form of lane dominance you forfeit that when you push as your opponent will have an easier time under the tower
Pros: -If you push you kill the enemy creeps faster and get xp faster so you'll get a faster lvl 2 or lvl 3 -lifesteal if your hero/item gives it -if you go back as your lane is pushed you will lose less XP and possible creep kills as the creeps will pile up near your tower by the time you get back
The way I do laning is try to push as little as possible then if I kill my lane opponent i'll push hard for max 10 seconds then go B, buy items, and come back. The lane should be at my tower with about twice the size of a normal wave.
Times you want to push early are if you are mid, and if you have a hero that will benefit a lot from having a fast lvl 2 (most heros). For example a tristana who mids should push early on to get a fast lvl 2 to do very good harass. The lane will equalize after coming off the enemy tower, just punch a few creeps to get it equal.
@hazmat sry so many trolls out tonight! Smite is so you don't get your buff stolen by a jungler who placed a ward underneith it. You could have done 90% of the work then he steals your blue. Same thing with dragon. You don't want your team 5 manning a dragon just to be smited by the enemy when it gets low. Every team should have at least 1 smite unless you are 1800+ elo and you have some genius reason not to.
