Just to make it clear how not-carrying that build is: you were better off selling your chalice just to have a slot to buy wards. I'd literally think your build was better with NOTHING in that slot than terrible, terrible chalice.
Don't throw away games you lost as "couldn't do anything, nothing I can improve on."

I feel that eve can still get derped if you have someone really tanky with an oracles or you have well placed vision wards.
She doesnt have Twitch's range or Shaco's blink so without her stealth its really hard for her to initiate without dying

my feeling is that all invis champs are super snowbally. they completely break the early game and if they can translate that into a big farm difference, they'll dominate, otherwise they're useless. Evelynn's endgame scaling as an assassin is just really really good. She's the only invis champ that can stun you and then kill you before you can do anything about it. It's also pretty much impossible to run from her ult, meaning that if she uses it right, it's basically on a 0 second CD.

Is Sona still any good? I was in a ranked game yesterday where Janna was banned and the other team took Shen and I realized that Shen and Janna are basically the only two side-lane heroes I own. Looking to pick up another one but I'm not really sure what the good sidelaners are at this point.

Actually I don't know what I would get Sona for nowadays... With the removal of Locket, her lategame took a huge hit, and it wasn't very good to begin with. Her laning phase isn't a freewin anymore either, and she works better with high survivability teams which seem to become less common. I probably would prefer Soraka over Sona nowadays...
But I actually haven't even played her since the last patch.

You don't always only get the Sheen bonus. Triforce, Sheen, and Lichbane don't stack, but which unique proc you get depends on which item is first in your slots.

Hmm, my Triforce was in slot 1 and my Sheen in slot 3 (from the left obv). So if it works like that, it must be based on the item in the rightmost slot?

Hm that's odd, I might be mistaken then as I haven't tried it recently. I think the proc for triforce gives the same buff graphic as the one for sheen though? Will try it out later.
