•Here are some of the treats you’ll be able to unwrap by completing the three-part quest chain: •Part 1: Play 2 Games during Hallow’s End •Reward: Cartoon Headless Horseman Spray

•Hallow's End Loot Chests •Once Hallow’s End begins after October 17, all Loot Chests you earn through progression (except Hero-Specific Chests), or purchase using Gems will be replaced with Hallow’s End Loot Chests. Weekly Brawl Rewards after October 20 will also award one Hallow’s End Chest.
•Also starting with Hallow’s End, special event Loot Chests will now guarantee at least one of the limited-time items from that event—including portraits, sprays, skins, and mounts!
•Until Hallow’s End concludes during the week of November 13, you’ll pick up one of these limited-time Loot Chests every time you level-up or earn a weekly Heroes Brawl reward. You can also head to the Loot tab in-game to purchase Rare Hallow’s End Chests directly using Gems. Additionally, please note that any Loot Chests you already own prior to the start of the event will not convert to Hallow’s End Chests.

•Level 16
•Spider Colony (Q)
•New functionality:
•Every time a Spider attacks an enemy Hero, reduce the cooldown of Wall of Zombies and Plague of Toads by .25 seconds

Developer Comment: We want to shift more of Nazeebo’s Health into the amount of Voodoo Ritual stacks he has, as the reward for Voodoo Ritual was mostly felt in unlocking Vile Infection at level 20. We’re changing Spider Colony to no longer reduce the cooldown of Corpse Spiders, because the synergy between the Spider Talents were so high that if you picked any one of them the rest of your Talent choices were locked in. Since we are changing the level 16 Talent to now affect Plague of Toads instead of Corpse Spiders, we’re shifting some of the damage out of Plague of Toads into Corpse Spiders. For Superstition, we wanted to get most of the spirit of what the old Talent did, but have more gameplay interactions. Often the only counter play to Superstition lied in what the enemy team composition was, and we’d rather have more counter play relying in decisions made during the course of the game.

Talents
•Level 4
•Overdose (Passive)
•Adjusted functionality:
•No longer applies to Biotic Grenade
•Sleep Dart now applies 3 Doses to targets hit

Developer Comment: Ana has had an incredibly successful launch into the Nexus, and seems to be falling into a great place balance-wise. We are still light on high-level data for her, so our changes this patch are very light. We realize that she has some synergy concerns and wanted to get a small jump on the largest catalyst to those – Overdose. While playing her internally before launch, we knew she had the potential to single-handedly shift the meta, not to mention increase the amount of double-support we see. Rest assured that we are keeping a close eye on both of these concerns and are prepared to act accordingly if the need arises.

I can respect that. Last year I cut holes in a bedsheet, glued stars on a cardboard cone, and dressed as the ghost wizard from Dr. McNinja.

hmmm...
do not like Malthael losing more trait damage. might be too much. but biased since i started playing him more again recently.
do not like stukov losing hp and healing.
giving joh some hp since she lost a lot of tankiness last patch might help, but i dont think it is enough.
nazeebo changes make sense to force him a bit more into the "better farm up for lategame" role.
the zuljin changes look surprisingly fun. new headhunter + you want axe baseline = 2.2 more aa range.
like some of dva's talent buffs. e.g. i kinda like taking pro moves.

There are new ping options now. The ones I have noticed so far usable by alt-left clicking by default:

Pinging a portrait of an enemy will either say to attack them and ping them on the map, or if they aren't on the map it will say they are missing.

pinging your XP bar will tell team that you are on same talent tier or who has the talent advantage.

Pinging your portrait when dead or a dead team mate will tell your team the time to respawn. Likewise for warning about enemy respawn times.

The buffs to Zul'jin's range make me wonder if they're planning to do anything to Raynor.

Level 20 Rocket Ride talent Cheese will likely need to be changed.

I'd propose changing it so the cool down only happens if Junkrat hits a hero with the Rocket Ride.

Seeing as how that's late game and Junkrat soloing the keep bit by bit removes him from all team fighting for quite a long time (i.e., 4v5 late game can be risky), I wonder if that's any worse than Azmodan just sitting back and launching globes at a keep, or something similar. If it's indeed broken, then lowering the cooldown reduction could also work.

Junkrat can use the ultimate on a keep and be almost any where on the map in 10 seconds or less, with full health due to the 250% move speed at respawn. The 4 man does have to play safe, but junkrat can split push a lot easier than the other team can punish the 4 man in the typical hero league/unranked/quick match game.

If Junkrat's team plays smart, the enemy team won't know at any given time if Junkrat is with them or not until he is rocketing their keep or they are engaged in a team fight, and since the ult brings Junkrat back to his base, he can get the rocket off and then be there to defend against a counter push pretty easily.

I wouldn't expect it to be a reliable strategy at the pro level where games often end before 20 and the coordination is much higher, but it's probably not a healthy addition to the game for the typical hero league/unranked draft/quick match. Seems at least on par with the old Leoric suicidal solo push the core that was nerfed quickly at his release. It seems like the best ultimate and level 20 talent even if you don't use it to cheese keeps for the low cool down escape and large burst damage it provides.

That's fair. Do you think it's more utility than any of the other global heroes? Plenty of other heroes can split-push and then join the team immediately (even backing for full health first, if needed), such as Falstad, Dehaka, and Brightwing.

The Rocket Ride ult can be cast from pretty far away. It seems like the range is far enough that on most maps you can hit the keep with your rocket while avoiding the front towers. So the enemy might not even know Junkrat is rocketing their keep until he is already back safe at home if someone isn't actively guarding against it.

Other global heroes have to take out the towers first, and have minions and/or mercs pushing with them to realistically threaten a keep, unless it was just a hit or two away from dying already. That generally takes enough time that the enemy has an opportunity to defend if they can react fast, and if they keep the lanes pushed out it's not that big of a threat in the first place.

Junkrat can do significant damage to the keep with no mercs or minions helping and get out safely by the time you even realize he was there. It's not easy to stop even if you are actively guarding against it as he doesn't have to come back to the same keep each time or even come back at all right away and the Rocket Ride channel is quick and hard to prevent when he does.

After respawning, there is also no time limit on the fast move speed as long as you don't take damage or dismount, so you can scout the map, take long sneaky routes and run from enemies pretty easily. If you do get dismounted or defended against, the concussion bomb gives a good chance of escaping outright, or giving enough space and time to get your ult off again uninterrupted.

Especially if you go with a high mobility build.

The talent on 16 that lets you fire 3 grenades (2 more from the side) can be very deadly at point blank range.
Similar to Genji shurikens, at point blank range all 3 will hit the same target.
With the lvl 4 talent complete, 1 grenade will do about 400 damage.

Times three is 1200 damage, times four for all four charges is 4800 damage.
Does mean you have to hit all 4 at melee range and survive doing it but still.

The mobile root traps (especially if you can have multiple with a level 4 talent) are funny as well.

I think Khroen and Horsepants were generally happy with Junkrat's performance, using some variation of this build most of the time:

1) Put some English on It
4) Taste for Explosions
7) Tricky Shuffles
10) Rocket Ride
13) Ripper Air
16) Spread Volley
20) Puckish Scamp

Gives high mobility, good damage at 16, and great displacement options with practice.

Some first day PTR Horsepants game play:

Here is the lvl 20 keep cheese if you don't want to watch the whole thing.
