The Heroes of the Storm Super League is one of the Road to BlizzCon events for Korea organized by Blizzard Entertainment and OGN.
The tournament will be running August to October, and the winner will qualify to the Heroes of the Storm Wold Finals at BlizzCon 2015.
The Korean scene hasn't had as much of a spotlight here in the west, so today is a good time to see how the koreans play. This thread will be updated throughout the league and the idea is to comment about it here. This event is part of the Korean Road To BlizzCon.
Streams: www.twitch.tv/OGNGlobal http://www.azubu.tv/ognglobal Casters: Tasteless, Artosis, Moonglade, Wolf

Thanks for the thread!
I think the first thing now is to add the event to the calendar so that is shows on the side bar and people notice it!
I'd put the stream links in the thread in a more visible place so that nobody misses them.

It is starting :D
Edit: Sorry for the double post. Submitted to the calendar.

ROFL Artosis with the "This game has a lot of comeback mechanics!!" xD IGN being shitted by everybody xD
Edit: triple post nobody watching?
Edit 2: The show match (SC vs WC+LoL stars) was actually very close and entertaining. It is sad this did not have more publicity and people watching

Orange Caramel or something like that. Its the group that sings Catallena for the SC map intro ^^

Who played in the showmatch?

Korean league never fails to produce great intros for its tournaments ^^
These picks are interesting and somewhat different from what we usually see in EU at least o.O
Edit: They also never fail to produce great looking attendances xD

Production is pretty high I must say, wondering why azubu stream is not featured on TL stream bar? The same thing with Twitch.

So... I haven't been following the Korean scene a whole lot (or better... barely at all, tbh. There aren't even that many Korean tournaments on Liquipedia :o) but MVP.Black is kinda the team to beat here and about as dominant in the scene as Teamliquid in Europe or Tempo Storm in NA, right?

nice crowd, hope the game goes huge, loving every game so far

Production seems a little iffy, at least for the English stream. But I shouldn't be surprised, this is OGN, not ESL :p.

How does the Korea server/ teams compare to America/ Europe?

Based on today alone, they follow their own meta but seem solid. Not sure if on par with top EU/NA teams yet. Then again what do I know o.O

Nothing to say about it, but a month ago MvP Black ? chewed through a few European Teams. It was at the time when everyone was shuffling teams in Europe though.

How's Heroes been picked up in Korea? Is it popular? Only reason I'm considering watching this casually because of former sc2 players. Which means, of course, I'm cheering for DK :D

Tuned in a little late, but caught most of it - we really need a central place for dates of Heroes tournaments 2-3 tank meta still seems strong in Korea, but besides that, it looks quite similar, no too outlandish picks. We see a trend towards 2 tanks in the western scenes as well, so...
It's hard to compare scenes without them actually playing against each other, but my first impression is that their level of play isn't above EU's, there were a few sloppy plays (e.g.: the Kael in second game didn't place his Flamestrikes very well). But as I said, that's probably a misperception and when EU plays vs KR in a live setting, they'll get stomped, at least that is what my SC2 experience has taught me

Acording to miwa, MVP black say's they practice around 14 hours a day, and I don't have any reasons to think they are lying. Everyone just talks about heroes in NA vs teams in europe. When they finally meet, I think a lot of people will be surprised.
I'm not sure about the second team, but one of the teams of the showmatch was: Kingdom, IntoTheRain, MC, JulyZerg and Ruby.
