AHQ heroes kept getting sniped out of position 1 by 1, team fight didn't really happen. C9 got the keep with Web Weavers and then after that they turned in and got next Web Weavers as well, just snowballed really hard. With just Tyrande as healer AHQ couldn't do much when KingCaffein's ETC jump on someone and even if they had the damage they couldn't kill anyone against Kharazim and Tassadar. It ended with C9 being level 17 while AHQ were level 14, they've looked hopeless, just like against Zero gaming.

It's a big unfortunate for ahq, who put up a really close series against eStar too, but C9, at the best of their game, are certainly more worthy of the championship. The problem we're seeing is that it seems to take C9 2-3 games before they find their stride every time, and that's concerning for when they get up against powerhouses like eStar and EDG that can 3-0 them without batting an eyelid. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves, but I wouldn't be surprised to see eStar vs EDG in the finals.

To be honest we are assuming way too much here. ![]() About AHQ, just watched part of their last game against Zero Gaming, with Butcher and Nova. I was so frustrated by their play that I ended the VOD 5 minutes in the game... Zero gaming don't have a tank, and have Abathur and Nova, they are constantly making ambushes and AHQ's solo heroes are literally walking into them like 10 times in a row, and keep overextending to kill 1 guy while three of them dies because you can hardly retreat against Jaina. What a shitfest of the game...

What a shitfest of the game... This is actually the way a lot of Taiwanese games look. They are very messy and dirty compared to the controlled games we're used to seeing, but they tend to show a lot of individual skill, which is interesting. It makes them really good in late game situations where they can just keep riding momentum to a win, but early/mid game usually look really ugly because they don't really balance their soaking vs objectives, and rarely let them go without a full-out team fight. It's...interesting.

You can argue that Zero Gaming 3-0'ing AHQ isn't impressive, but it took C9 five games to beat them. Zero Gaming had a 10-2 record in individual games and 5-0 in best of three matches in league play including the 2-0 sweep of C9 which is the primary reason I say they will be a good test.

It also took eStar 5 games to beat ahq ^^. In any case, C9 is looking really rocky in comparison to eStar and EDG, so I'm not sure we'll actually see them in the finals, unfortunately.

I liked this a lot to be honest, there was a synergy with the rest of the draft and it worked quite well for them coupled with the fact that I am sick of Chain Bomb builds.

She picked Gathering Power at level 4, Flamethrower at 13 and Fury of the Sunwell at 16, so no chain-bombing at all. It worked really well with aggressive lineup that MG had consisting of ETC and Kerrigan, they were killing a lot in the team fights which means that Kael'Thas got Gathering Power stacks up. She also played quite safe, as there was no need for living bombs at all, and she was only casting Phoenix and Flamestrikes in team fights, occasionally a stun. I liked this a lot to be honest, there was a synergy with the rest of the draft and it worked quite well for them coupled with the fact that I am sick of Chain Bomb builds. It's an interesting choice, but I'm still not convinced it's better than going Chain Bomb with a Kerrigan. When I played with Equinox earlier this week, he told me, "Everyone just dogpiles me instantly whenever I play Kerrigan...or any melee". Using that logic, Chain Bomb is probably a better pick than Fury of the Sunwell, even if it puts him in more danger. But that's just opinion hehe. But Faye is known for doing some interesting builds. In G2, she went Conjuror's Pursuit on Jaina and just went full Frostbolt poke build (doing it this game too). EDIT: Nope, she's going full Blizzard build this game ^^. Told you, unique builds!

Also, even though Equinox is right, it is a bit different in organized play, pro teams are a lot less likely to be wiped out because of the Chain Bomb.
