Early on things (as I expected) went in the enemy team's favor as they had an insane amount of damage output that we couldn't really outheal or tank yet, but as the game went on things leveled out. Enter Skillidan who; only does merc camps (taking ages to do so), avoids every enemy hero (scary!), pings and screams during the entire game (ping ping piiiiinngg!) and blames everything on everyone but himself.
Even when me and Diablo managed to gank Chen with a nice combo (Diablo pushed him in range of the towers and we double stunned him + Mark), his only comment was to not focus Chen as he was the tank, despite that only Zeratul was in the lane with him.
When asked why his hero damage is lower than Uther's he instantly went the elitist route stating he should only do mercs and be farming XP since the enemy team had assassins. Whilst he did have a point that the enemy team had a lot of damage, he was in the lane with Uther healing him and the enemy team divided equally across the lanes like we did.
In the end we lost because it was essentially a 4v5 for most of the game, even though we managed to win several teamfights (which Illidan claimed we could never do). When the game ended he had the lowest hero damage and XP gain, despite him saying he was farming lanes. As a group, I find Nova players to be the most detestable (and this has been the case for a very, very long time), but Illidan players are comfortably in second place.

holy crap, Jaina and Kael every game. And atleast one of them doesn't know how to play without escapes and every second one of those is a rager xD. Blizzard wanted a fire and ice week I guess to compare those 2. I'll play Jaina this week, so I don't have to deal with it.

Just wanted to tell you guys that my first Hero League game of the day was
another defeat...
|
I've had 5 teams in a row stacked with absolute game-throwing retards on my team. WTF Blizzard? Quit putting low ranked morons on my team.
|
Yesterday I played 3 hero league games.
Game 1: 1 person that would never join teamfights. He literally ran away when teamfights got to his lane. He started during the draft and maintained throughout the game to proclaim that the game didn't matter and that we would all forget about HotS in 5 years.
Game 2: a KT who on mines who was AFK for 8 full minutes (not even leaving us with a bot, just standing in fountain).
Game 3: A great game on Sky temple which we narrowly won.
Why oh why does 2 out of 3 games have to be shit?

This game is supposed to be a more team oriented game. more teamfighting less on individuals. objective oriented. Nova is the opposite of all that. she kinda goes off by her own. pops in kills someone leaves.. I just dont understand her from a design pov Have to agree, 90% Nova players are just plainly bad or BM, usually both. Last game in hero league, we were picking heroes, last pick remaining and we didn't have any heal yet. He chose Nova, because "he is good with her". He wasn't.

And yet another absolute failure of a teamplayer, a Jaina AFKer and feeder this time. Had less damage then my Anub, and literally ran into the enemy team or an empty lane completely alone. Spent half the time at spawn doing nothing.
A bot would've done far far better. Never communicated, never took part in a single teamfight. Kept trying to solo forts. Most annoying part is that the remaining four of us were doing alright and we should've won that if we actually had a fifth player worth mentioning.
I honestly just do not understand how someone can play like that. They seriously need to add a category in the Report screen for this type of behavior and dish out permanent account bans to players who get reported a lot for this stupid shit. This is not a case of newbie play as they'd atleast stick with the team or respond to pings/chat. It utterly ruins the entire game for four other people who are still trying to salvage the game only to see Jaina just blindly run into the enemy team for the millionth time.
If someone is not going to play as a team member, they do not deserve to play this game at all. Go play a 1v1 game and stay away from team games. Such a waste of a game that could've been so much better. Sigh.

I did something horrible today in QM . Blackhearts Bay, with a Gazlow that was determined to just solo mercs all the time. So it was a 4v5 with our merc camp coins being feeded to the opposing team 90% of the time. No one was top after the first treasures appeared so I had to do 2 lanes so we don't get behind. We actually got ahead until the point our team started to just die left and right while I was busy in 2 lanes against a Jaina and an ETC.
So the Kael and Jaina had troubles with a no escape character, the Nova just roamed and Gazlow did mercs or died after pushing a lane to deep. And I was being a thickheaded dwarf and soaked and drained mana of the heroes. (yay passive heal)
It was a no support game. So at level 16 Muradin is immortal and hits like a truck fun started. Got ahead in Hero Damage ! But at level 20 Nova started kill stealing me with her reloading ult. Opposing team never managed to gather and we got turn in after turn in. The Core had 40% left and we just needed to gather treasures and pay. And suddenly the game ended. Gaz solod the boss who killed the care and he was screaming "Gazlow OP" probably convinced that he won the game. The others GGed as well. So everyone of us will continue to think we did the right thing and annoy other teams. Though the 4 of us did play quite good together at the end.
Gazlow Siege/Hero 244k/16k Nova 4k/66k

Yeah I've noticed 'those' players every few games that are determined to:
Actively avoid teamfights. (not my job man!) Deep push the lanes/towers solo and getting killed every single time. (specialists only do towers ofc(!)) Consider map objectives as entirely optional. (too busy with those towers!) Solo mercs as the one other thing that is not pushing the lane, even if the mercs kill them. (must take all mercs. ALL. MERCS.)
I've had one shining example where we had a Sgt. Hammer on Haunted Mines who did ALL of the above with a smile on her face and a chip on her shoulder the size of a Leviathan. Literally kept pushing the bottom lane 24/7 even as the golem was smashing on our core. Got killed several times just en route and still kept trying. Flamed the team for even just suggesting we defend or stick together. Defiant to the last with only doing siege damage. Died 17 times, had 3 kills (because she was near them at the time), a total of about 150k siege damage and...........9k hero damage. On Hammer. At lvl 21. 9k.
Siege Tank commanders all across the SC universe wailed that day in agony.
I guess some players are just convinced that all games are PvE campaign games and that everyone else is just a bot with a weird name.

The matchmaker fucking hates me. Two wins in the past 15 games. None of those losses is on me. Not one. Just one retard after another being placed on my teams. Unbelievable.
EDIT: And the latest game since posting this, I'm ranked with 2 Rank 40s, a Rank 26, and a Rank 36. Get a load of this team comp and K/D ratios:
Zeratul (me): 4-2 Sonya: 0-3 Illidan: 2-6 Tyrael: 2-7 Lili: 3-4
I can't make this stuff up.

It's not surprising at all. A couple days ago I had a thirteen game losing streak and lost something like 17 out of 19.
Not only am I quite a bit better at MOBA's than that, but even if I was terrible, statistics say that 1) I should be getting wins more often, and 2) match making systems are designed so that I get wins more often.
The match making system in this game is absolutely awful and it is actively turning players away from the game.
On a side, note, I 100% agree about hating Nova/Illidan players. Nova players are generally useless and just like to "pew pew snipe" people from cloak; add this on to the fact that Nova is awful at both team fights and laning, and I just facepalm every time I see a Nova player. Illidan players just have no clue what they're doing and dive hardcore every single fight and make themselves completely useless by being dead all the time.

Sigh. I wish Blizzard would just fix that matchmaker already. Being put up against 5 assassins or 4 + abathur in QM is a garantueed loss. The damage is so high that any tiny move out is instantly a death and then the rest of the team just follows shortly after. Also I just hate Thrall with his Windfury and self heal. Makes Kerrigan look like an absolute joke in comparison.
|
never que for 3 times your average and the matchmaker is fine. I think because people cancel like this you get alot more potatoe games. And it won't change a matchmaking needs bigger numbers to be good. The only thing they will fix is the support thing, which should make 5 assassin games occur more often. I enjoy those because you don't have to feel bad dieing as long as you take them with you.

I'm so fucking sick of ranked play. I was at rank 27 (from mostly solo queue by the way) and the past 10 games have had at least 1 lvl 50 guy in it. How is that possible?
-200 points for a loss...... What the hell how can that be fair when they queue me with a guy who just spent his money on heroes and played vs AI to 35 so he could get into ranked?
Surely you should need to have AT LEAST
- 3 support at rank 8 - 2 warriors at rank 8 - 3 assassins at rank 8 - 2 specialists at rank 8
before you can queue hero league, if things don't change and change soon I'm uninstalling - the game is bringing me 0 fun at the minute due to getting queued with life steal build Vallas, bunch of suicidal Illidans and triple tap Novas.
|
Life steal on Valla is actually pretty legit... Triple tap on Nova can also be very decent depending on the opposing team comp.

Triple tap isn't necessarily a bad skill, but most Novas who take it tend to be very bad. It is kinda the same with Kael. The surest sign of a newb Kael is the selection of Pyroblast.

I honestly didn't think it was possible to lose against the AI team before today. Open beta is officially here.
Gonna need to take a few days off so I don't put my head through my desk.

I feel like an epidemic of shitty Tyrande's has quietly taken the Nexus by storm. They certainly have become far more numerous than shitty Stitches players who can't hook. I think my top 5 least favorite heroes to see on my team is now the following:
1) Nova: Still the douche queen. 2) Illidan: So many bad yolo-dan players out there. 3) Raynor: Raynor picks are probably the number 1 sign of a newb. The ratio of good Raynors to bad Raynors is ridiculously low. 4) Gazlowe: Split push all day, never help in teamfights. 5) Tyrande: I miss the days when Tyrande was a niche hero who was only played by people who were actually good at her. The current median level of Tyrande play is absolutely embarrassing.
