The last guy shows Abathur. My immediate thought is FANTASTIC! My winrate as Zeratul with Abathur on team is absurdly high. So we go into the game. I tell the guy that I'll ping for symbiote as I roam around the map. So I ping, and ping, and ping.... and no hats ever come during the early and mid game. Heroes were routinely getting away from me with a sliver of health as I do my rotations. I get a few kills, but don't have the overall impact that I could have. The rest of the team doesn't carry their weight, and we end up losing horribly. To make matters worse, the BW was the same BW that lost my team the previous game (thanks matchmaker). In this particular game, he was involved in 25% of the team's takedowns (2 of 8), which demonstrates unspeakable uselessness. Rank 44's FTW.
That's kinda how my day went at the start aswell. Than i did my "okay last game" and right at the start during the draft people where already at each others throat because noone wanted play healer and such stuff. Than we get into the game and win like 23-1 in 16 minutes on Blackhard's Bay. one guy invites everyone to a party, 4 join and we go on to win 5 in a row, even comming back from a 3 or 4 level deficit 3 forts down and losing the first 5 tributes on Cursed Hollow. Good times, now i'm happy.

I've found that queing any later than 21:00-21:30 CET will lead to incredibly terrible teams on EU. The things I have seen after 22:00....

At Sunday I played from 17 CET to 23 CET. From 21 CET I won 4 matches in a row. Sound you could be on the opposing side ? But I kinda agree, even in the winning matches I have seen things like Malfurion poping ult on mercenery camp which my Jaina obliterate in few seconds, enemy Tychus doing the most hero damage in the game but dying 15 times in a process.
I think the game needs few different quick matches like in pve diffrent type of hardness. People already storm the forums and blame evrything on matchmaking system.

What game mode? I was talking hero league.
EDIT: An example would be me having contributed 20k XP whilst none on the rest of my team had broken 15k (we all had more or less the same takedowns except for our sylvanas that never joined a single teamfight). The enemy team all had contributed around 21-23k. People are mindnumbingly bad at soaking XP which is most likely one of the easiest concepts in the game.

oh god how i hate those people, that feed the opposing team just to get the highest hero damage, especially if it is a tank that then blames the ranged assassins. I think till 23 cet its still bearable, but past midnight, I can just blame myself for even trying. Heroleague gets worse earlier though, which is because of the smaller playerbase in that mode.
I still remember how players from other dota style games said that there is nothing to laning in Heroes. And jet soaking seems to be one of the hardest things to understand in heroes and biggest reason why matches go to hell. Maybe it would help if they would implement a button that shows the soaking range of your hero? And a loading screen tip, stating that towers not only lose ammunition, but also rapidly kill of an enemy creep wave and deny alot of exp if no hero is close.
Had to much support dailies ... and almost every game lanes were left alone to opponents that could bully lanes really well and merc camps were ignored. Baby raged and started to play Sylvanas taking a few PvE/self sustain Talents. 3 games 3 times 3x/0, often taking care of 2 lanes and merc camps, which helps alot at not dieing, though I usually made it in time to fights.
Managed to lose the 3rd game though, at the beginning stitches landed many hooks and we were on a road to victory. Then the bad ults were starting to affect us. Level was 6/10 ... so I was thinking if I should take possession, but decided against it as I already took some PvE talents and would lose to much team fight utility. Tyrande stealth Ult, Raynor Hyperion, Stitches eat one person ult, Muradin the push back ult. Afterwards Stitches just managed to hook 1 person and Muradin slammed his fist into him so he flew right back to his team. Didn't manage to finish their core -> lost the next team fight at the tribute/boss -> lost our core. Tyrandes used her ult as means to escape, so I always managed to get away as well.
Losing hard in the lategame is so punishing. But if they want to keep the game duration that low there is no other way. Still My first game where there was a 5 level difference. Didn't even know that was possible.

So i have about 450 games and i just got matched with 3 guys who have according to hots logs combined 8 games (lets make it 20 with assumption that hotslogs catches less than 50% of games) . Well, thanks for reminding me why i stoped playing this shit in the first place Blizzard.

You can always look at the profiles of the players on your team to see how many games they have and what rank they are. I routinely find myself unpleasantly unsurprised when I check the profiles of my teammates in hero league games. It's just bad. The whole rank and matchmaking system is broken.

I thought we had all agreed that ranks=/=mmr at the moment=/=skill.
But i think the problem comnes from the ranking system itsefl. Can we have a system more similar to the sc2 one please? If you wan't to have progression make it so you have progression in your league,, like, are you rank 25+ on your league? when the ladder ends? you get this portrait. The ranks would be achieved by basically playing more, but you coudn't be in a league where you don't belong to skill wise, like what happens with this ranking system.

Seems like i'll never be able to win on hero league anymore.
I mostly play quickmatch. Play 1 game hero league, lose. Then play more quick match, then another hero league match and lose, then play some more quickmatch, then one hero league and lose again.
I'd probably win again on it if I actually played it more but it's just stupid, you can't call that anything but bad luck. Some of them were fair loses, some were idiotic ragers, some were bad drafts, but it is stupid. I don't usually play hero league after I got to Rank 20, but now every time wan't to play 1 game it is a lose, which makes it so I don't want to play another game.
I mean what are the chances that you always lose your first Hero League match of the day.

Needless to say we lost that game.

Get an enemy team dominated right outside their keep with 3 of us alive and a minion wave pushing in, no one is coming back for 20s, after pinging the keep one backs and one goes to kill pirates for coins...when the enemy team still has all 3 keeps and we're already at 20 coins a turn in. Just rank 49 things.
|
What is up with people going afk as soon as you lose 1 battle...like your 1 level behind and they just go to the fountain and curse a lot and then proceed to ruin the game by going afk. And still they think they are superior while wasting everyone time. It's the worst thing ever. At least have the decently to leave us a bot.
It's so easy to get a comeback even 3 or 4 levels behind if you get a few good fights. But 4vs5 you can almost never win.
|
Ahh, which is worse - the long back and forth game with comeback potential (other team got first 4 coin turn ins) with your teammates flaming each other all game (and you - heaven forbid you stay in an entirely empty lane at top at minute 3 instead of participating in the massive low level teamfight at bot...on Blackheart's Bay...), or the hopelessly silent game where one key teammate DC's and never comes back while nobody talks at all, your team feeds them one by one, and the game ends painfully, hopelessly, and egregiously lopsided.
Needless to say, both losses...

I had a 9 (nine) game losing streak just playing quick match.
Even if I really am just that bad, statistically that is really, really difficult to pull of.
And now I've lost 12 of 13. This game is seriously being ruined by the terrible match making system. Bad comps, bad players, AFK'ers, it never ends.

I actually had a couple games solo-queuing today where I didn't have to carry like a boss in order to win. Such a novelty to not have to be the best player on the team every game.
|
Why does nova even exist in this game. I really dont understand it. This game is supposed to be a more team oriented game. more teamfighting less on individuals. objective oriented. Nova is the opposite of all that. she kinda goes off by her own. pops in kills someone leaves.. I just dont understand her from a design pov

First hero league match of the day.
And lost. Again. So it really seems like I'll never be able to win my first match ever, it is retarded.
|
So I was deep into rank 1, needed about 10 loses just to drop it, then I randomly dc'ed in the draft and dropped to rank 3? That's like losing 15 games in a row. What. The. Fuck!?!?

Had a loudmouth 'Skillidan' in a QM game last night on Tomb of the Spider Queen. We had double support (I was playing Tyrande and we had an Uther) with Diablo and Nova. Our enemy team had 4 assassins (Zeratul, Jaina, Thrall and Falstad) and Chen.
Early on things (as I expected) went in the enemy team's favor as they had an insane amount of damage output that we couldn't really outheal or tank yet, but as the game went on things leveled out. Enter Skillidan who; only does merc camps (taking ages to do so), avoids every enemy hero (scary!), pings and screams during the entire game (ping ping piiiiinngg!) and blames everything on everyone but himself.
Even when me and Diablo managed to gank Chen with a nice combo (Diablo pushed him in range of the towers and we double stunned him + Mark), his only comment was to not focus Chen as he was the tank, despite that only Zeratul was in the lane with him.
When asked why his hero damage is lower than Uther's he instantly went the elitist route stating he should only do mercs and be farming XP since the enemy team had assassins. Whilst he did have a point that the enemy team had a lot of damage, he was in the lane with Uther healing him and the enemy team divided equally across the lanes like we did.
In the end we lost because it was essentially a 4v5 for most of the game, even though we managed to win several teamfights (which Illidan claimed we could never do). When the game ended he had the lowest hero damage and XP gain, despite him saying he was farming lanes.
