I was referring to the GvG Hearthstone launch crapping up battle net.

It's kinda bizarre. I get why Sebelius was a screw-up at this. But Blizz has been running the most successful MMO of all time for a decade and they still can't manage the servers during a game launch.

Well, few can.

One thing is having servers that manage millions of account, but that just !/3 of that more or elss are playing at anytime.
And another completely different thing is server that can manage 10 million people trying to log in and play all at once.

Played two games with Abathur so far and it's a nice change of pace from the usual Zeratul. With Zeratul I feel like every single mistake you make gets easily noticed and you feel a lot of pressure as I need to carry the game. With Abathur you feel somewhat detached from what the team does, and unless you aren't taking part all in teamfights, your mistakes rarely gets noticed. Moreover, you do stuff all the time so you rarely have time to take parts in conversations anyway.

It's a very different experience from other heroes and more reliving. I like him so far

EDIT: Played some more. I guess he might feel a bit repeptive at times. His ablities (under Q-mode) are kinda boring, and it would be nice if he received a second ultimate that gave him some type of interesting AOE ability (under Q-mode) that could be targetted on the ground. But still, definitely a hero that offers a different experience. My issue with all other heroes is that they kinda just feel like a waste of time to play when I can have more fun (and win more) with Zeratul. Abathur doesn't suffer from that as he is completley uncomparable.

I guess I will but him or Jaina with my next 10k.

There definitely tends to be a direct correlation in most games between whether I'm making plays with Zeratul and whether my team is winning.

It's less clear whether that correlation is actually a causation. If your team is winning, you'll have an XP edge on the other side, making it easier for you to "make plays" with Zeratul. It also means the other team isn't as good as your team, and may simply lack the skill to properly counter Zeratul.

There probably is something to this, but what I'm talking about is a little bit more obvious. I can tell when I'm not playing well (missing skillshots, losing duels that I should win, etc) If I'm on my game, things tend to go well for the team, even if I'm just propping the team up in an otherwise miserable situation.

So far I haven't had a Zeratul on my team that goes for Double bombs + Wormhole. It's pretty annoying when I clone them, and see that they have picked these weird annoying talents instead.

I know the latest Sim City had a pretty brutal launch. How did the Destiny launch go? Or the CoD games? I wonder if it really is a Blizzard thing and not an internet age thing.

Abathur doesn't gain any talents when he clones a target. He only gets the ult.

Never forget Bnet is free. If they would charge for Bnet, they could propably afford to triple their amount of servers, just in case they launch a game or an addon. Otherwise it would just be a money sink, since they do that maybe 5 times a year.
But I am glad they don't charge money and even if the ultimate rule would still apply:

Never play on patch day!

And releases of games are nothing different then a patch day if they run on servers.

Ah ok. Makes sense now. Not sure why anyone would clone zeratul then since I feel he is such dependant on double-bombs and the wormhole combo and really doens't do anyhting else for 75% of the time you engage. Better to have a hero that can do a lot in the short amount of time.

Depends upon the situation and team comps. Two Zeratuls running around picking people off can be a nightmare.

Oh, and I played Tassadar for the first time since the patch. He's still really strong. His early game isn't as strong, but he kicks into gear at level 16. He's also much tougher to kill with the revisions to his E and D talents.

I have had some experiences where I was playing with high MMR players (like 3.7k mmr), but for some reason they made some obvious errors, and I really couldn't understand how he could be so highly ranked. But when you go throuh the profile, it becmes obvious that these types of players are clearly cheating on Hotlots. They only report wins, and you often see that they go from lvl 1 to lvl 3 with a hero without any games played inbetween. Moreover, the typically get matched up against mid-diamond players (like 3K MMR), which seems a bit unlikely if they really were midmasters.

Already seen a couple of these players today, and it wouldn't surprise me if at least 25% of master legue players are consistently cheating. Pretty annoying when these guys are trying to take te spot you are working for.

Yeh, when you play vs real mid-masters, you can easily tell that they are solid. They do not take engagements when it doens't make sense. They take mercs at the right times, and they group up well. But there is also this occational master League player whom is just pretty damn bad, and when you go through his hotslogs profile you see lots of missing games and a high win/rate.
