If anything complain about how they added the generic "class" characters as heroes(I'm sure everyone in the alpha was busting doors down asking to be able to play as The Crusader). | ||

As person that played quite a lot of Dota i find this game quite too simplified mechanicly (why i cant cancel hook animation evil Blizzard) but i guess thats their design decision. Pushing this into e-sports will be comedy worthy, its good casual game ala TF2 or HS, but anything more is just artificial unless they make some drastic changes. I dislike this pay for heroes model they have chosen, grind for heroes with current gold rewards will be just way too long. | ||

Now ive got some questions to the people who have watched tournaments: why is anub arak at the top of the rankings in hotslogs? Haven't played with him just curious. I tried him in try mode and hi skill set seems pretty good with the aoe and skill shot of the spines, the shield and the burrow charge in which you can decide when does he unburrows which adds skill. However, he doesn't have that much life, At lvl 20 he's got 4200 life if I'm not mistaken compared to diablo and stitches who got 6000. Is he mislabeled? For example I see tyrael a more of a support assassin than a tanky melee warrior. So how does the pro uses them? Talking about stitches I think he is too strong. Although I don't have a problem with the hook mechanich itself, as I have played with similar heroes, I think its range is too long. All his skill set is pretty strong in fact, being capable of aoe, healing and eating heroes which practically along with the hook guarantees their dead. Now I'm not saying this as someone who just lost to him, I'm saying this as someone who plays solo queue and likes playing warriors I feel like you should always play stitches because if not you arent doing as much. I think its broken that you've got one of the highest health pools on the game and when you play it you consistently are one of the highest damage dealers on the stat screen. I feel like its the best warrior, specially in solo, and that if you are playing anyone else is because you have to like that character a lot, or have a planned strategy (for example freeze them with arthas and then doing something else) but that's hard to plan in solo queue. I'm not saying other warriors are bad, just that I think stitches is better. I thknk the problem is that he simply does too much damage. Maybe they should reduce its health and make it so through talents you have to decide if you want to tank and get 6k HP, or want to deal damage and not be as squishy, but have less health anyway. So what do you guys think about stitches? | ||

So what do you guys think about stitches? He is alright but the best warriors by far I think are Arthas and tyrael. Stitches actually does horrible damage, see docs.google.com His autoattack damage is simply awful and it's typically best to ignore stitches in teamfights like most warriors but stitches doesn't do all too much in a teamfight. Hook is a great pick off tool in many situations and can be used in tandem with another hero to pick off hero's from afar nicely but in the teamfight it doesn't do all that much. Slam is a pretty bad skill in basestats but becomes decent with great talents for it, it's kinda silly I think how it has an amazing talent that gives 50% increase but the basestats are pretty lousy. The spell needs a buff but the talents for it nerfed so you actually have more choice how to talent stitches. Consider for example how tassadar has a 20% increase on psi storm as talent and sonya a 30% with 'mana' cost increase talent for seismic slam which are similar abilities as damage only skills, they only differ in size/shape of aoe, amount of damage and casting range. Even with it's superb talents which you probably take for slam it ends up as only a decent skill I think and it's the only way of real damage doing you have which with it's 8 seconds cooldown isn't that much. Hook isn't that great use in the teamfight itself more in initiating or ganking. Good counterplay makes hook a little too easy to counteract though I think because it needs a clear line to the target. In the initial phase keeping creeps/minions between you and stitches make it easy to avoid. Later on in teamfights it's hard to reach the ranged assassin or support you want to be hitting. Grabbing the opposing warrior can be ok but they can often counteract it by buffing him and full engaging. Also quite a bit of heroes have escape abilities that reactively counter hook if played well. On maps with objectives behind walls that need to be grabbed like cursed hollow and dragon shrine hook and thus stitches improves significantly though. Overall though his set of talents is slightly lackluster compared to arthas I think though who is also a great tank but adds more in battles. Stitches that get's ignored simply doesn't do enough dps I think and his trait doesn't help anything there (which is one the worst traits btw I think). Finally heroes that combine well with hook to provide grabs with direct kills aren't too great now I think. Stitches + kerrigan was pretty sweet as roaming together you'd instantly kill most heroes if the initial hook hit. Don't see many good heroes now though that match well with stitches to provide the CC after the hook lands. | ||
