Seems like a build-around card. It doesn't take many divine shields for it to be a really good card.

If I am not mistaken, Noble Sacrifice is not considered as summoned, don't think it will get the buff.

Will it divine shield paladin's hero power dudes too?

It says summon right on the card (different from "played").

So Bluegill Warrior and Wolfrider get divine shield and charge... Decent as just a removal tool, no?

"removal"
If Argent Horserider taught you anything any charge divine shield minion is going face.

Too bad it's not a continuous effect, would be sweet with equality.

Am I getting it wrong? Since it's 'summon' and not 'play' I thought this would only affect Muster, SaD and hero power (as well as any Blugil's summoned with Anyfin).
So playing Wolfrider and Tournament Attendee wouldn't get the buff?

Basically if it has 1 health it gets the buff. Minor exceptions for Twilight Drake / Faceless Shamblers etc

on new dragon: card by itself is pretty useless. its starts out as a 2/8 which is way too easy to kill (for example corruption) (imagine running a greedy dragon deck vs priest, you laughing at him cuz he is stuck with 2 sw pain... well joke is on you now). even the new hunter legendary laughs at your face. To remove the card one doesnt even have to invest removal, simply kill it with his own minion(s). IF you manage to keep it alive for 1 turn it's still only a 4/8, which is still below average in constructed. keeping it alive any longer consistently is not even close to realistic so i wont comment on that.
now where the potential of the card starts to shine is when you buff it with other cards. Lets say you put 2x cold blood on it or something similar: it will have 20 attack on the next turn. IF it somehow survives 1 turn it will give a good chance on lethal. (combine it with something like the pala double attack on 2nd turn: 40dmg face). Now its clear why the card text has potential: to get even more use out of buff cards. HOWEVER if you invest multiple cards on a single minion, that already screams to get removed, not paying out directly, you can bet your face on it your opponent will do anything he can to get rid of it: entomb, assasinate, polymorph etc. this will give your opponent a huge card advantage (all your investments+dragon for 1 removal). Even in this situation, which is clearly unfavourable for you, your opponent has 1 removal less for your real value dragons (e.g. Ysera). In short: if you combine the dragon with buffs it has some good potential. Taking the risk of losing a big investment gives you the possible reward of a lethal.
Where this dragon's full potential will be unleashed is when you have cards that can assure its survival (counterspell, stealth, get down etc.) It will be hard to set this combo up, as multiple cards are required that combined have a huge mana cost. For this to work you will have to either keep it alive for multiple turns (conceal into master of disguise), get discount from emperor, or have some good setup already active on the board (secret). When these conditions are fulfilled you simply buff up your dragon, survive one turn, watch your opponent cower in fear and finish it off with your infinite attack dragon. This strategy requires the deck to be at least slightly build around this dragon and relies on a big combo. The reward however is a nearly guaranteed kill.
Its clear now the dragon has huge potential in a combo, but simply by itself its pretty useless. To see how well it actually works out, we will have to wait till release, but i wouldn't immediately say this card is as bad as the tentacles or the monster. Also keep in mind it will always be a nice activator for your dragon synergy while BRM is still in standard. Hope they will add some more in the new patches to keep dragon synergy alive.
The new pala card seems op in wild: all those cancerous 1 health minions with divine shield, can even start a 1/1 token hobogoblin steward topdeck zoo: board filled with 3/3 minions with divine shield on turn 3/4. much fun in standard it seems ok though, much less to combo it with.

So playing Wolfrider and Tournament Attendee wouldn't get the buff? When you play a minion card ( let's say a Magma Rager) it summons a minion (Magma Rager).
Minions are always summoned, whether you play a minion card or a spell* that summons minions (like Muster for Battle). Minions are not always played.
"Summon" is the overarching mechanic if you will.
(*Or by battlecry, deathrattle etc)

In which case the card is way more cancerous than I first thought. Agro pally has always been incredibly frustrating to deal with. Now they have another excellent tool.
Also so let down by that dragon. The idea is okay, but 6 mana? I have very low expectations.

People are missing the real question.
Is Mini-Mage now playable?
