Honestly, I have a great start. Did some combo, felt like I had a solid board position. Dude casually board wipes me, next turn drops a huge fatty, while I have 0 removals and a few low health and damage creatures. What's worse is one time, I would've won, but the dude simply top decks the removal he needed right at that moment.

It is a really strong deck, but it has several "counters". I've been playing the darkforce variation and I've found, believe it or not, its not druids or pallies that counter it the hardest, it is aggro mages. Two blood imps already bring the warlock to 24. You shouldn't life tap with the deck much, but say you lifetap twice, that is 20hp remaining, that means only 1 or 2 minions need to be able to attack to stall with an ice block and finish off with fireball/pyroblast if it gets that late in the game. The mage's hero power being able to negate any favorable trades the warlock may be able to make only make things more difficult for the warlock.

Also i feel for you, how painful it must be to be able to missplay one of the most streamlined decks out there xD

If you fail at killing the blood imp in the first few turns, you might as well concede.

He ended up with full hp and 7 creatures on the board. I know one of the key mistakes I made early when I started playing is that I would always get the enemy hero to 5-10 health and full out blitz but often that lead to poor trading with enemy minions and often caused me to lose. I think trump said at somepoint that the last health are the ones that matter the most. I have been doing a lot better lately because I am pacing card usage and considering card advantage to be much more important than other factors such as direct damage.

I cant remeber how many times I got the enemy hero to 5-6 health with blitzing them early game only to run out of cards in my hand and the opponent still sitting of 3-4 cards to eventualy have to concede because I cant take control of the board anymore

How can you possibly get misplay from you shouldn't have to life tap much and mage's hero power is op? Take my advice or leave it, it has no bearing on me or my rank. Actually, I guess you shouldn't take my advice so I don't have to play so many aggro mages on ladder.

An ambiguous aggro mage suffers from "other stuff" isn't saying anything. Every deck suffers from "other stuff". Just like aggro warlock, it suffers from "other stuff", but overall it has a pretty decent win rate and most games are pretty quick so it makes for a good deck to move up the ranks.
