A good start from the mage is really hard to come back from as a druid who have very little in ways of board clear. edit: priest, not mage. I'm incapable of reading apparently. Same goes there though. If you gain board control and card advantage, its tough for the druid to deal with it.

It's a somewhat doubleedged sword though because iirc he dusted quite aggressively for the cards he wanted. maybe you want to keep more cards than him. Now this is very nice. I'm a new player and I do mostly mage since I like the spells / control. my mage deck is my most competitive I feel. Flamestrike is SO good. E: By the way, what are the good arena classes? Grilled my first arena run by going mage and I don't think that's a good call actually. My arena deck was terrible too. Went 2-3. so many feels. so good arena class to pick? arena deck guides?

Actually the general oppinion is that mage is actually the strongest class in arena, because the playstyle in arena is very unit heavy and flamestrike is so good against that, and since it is a basic card often you can pick up 2-3. As for guides, check out trumps arena guides here on liquidhearth.

Mage is one of the most popular arena classes, because Flamestrike, Fireball and Polymorph are all basic cards, and thus have a high chance of being pickable multiple times in the draft. And since arena is all about board control, Mage has an edge there. And then there's always the chance of getting a Pyroblast, of course. Paladin is very good, too, due to its hero power, divine shields and Truesilver Champion. And Rogue is pretty good due to the many tempo cards it has (Backstab, Defias Ringleader, SI:7 Agent, etc.). Warrior, Priest and Warlock are generally seen as not quite as good in arena.

How does combo work by the way, this has confused me for a while. It kind of feels like a normal battlecry.

It kind of feels like a normal battlecry. 2 would be the max number of Flamestrikes in my opinion. More than that and you're likely to have it be a dead card for a number of turns. The Combo effect only takes place if you play a card from your hand earlier during that same turn. Hero power doesn't count.

One of the biggest and widely mistake done by newer players is that they throw out every card they can as fast as possible. A lot of the time, the right play is to not play a card even if you can. If you throw everything out at once, and your opponent clears it, you have now zero cards on your hand to deal with his 5-6. Which translates into a loss.

Thank you! ![]() I'm going to presume you haven't hosted many events before. There is no "one person" to contact for sponsors (which is what you need to get prices unless you want to pay out of your own pocket). Getting sponsors are really frigging hard. Expect to run several successful tournaments with prices out of your own pocket before people are willing to start chipping in.
