Personally i think the strength of mages is in the sweepers Flamestrike, Blizzard, Aracane Explosion, Cone of Cold, Arcane Missiles bump up spell power and each of those spells take out alot of creatures and set yourself up for the late game. Those combined with the strong Kill spells like polymorph, fireball, fireball.
You have alot of card draw but what are you doing to protect yourself while you wait turns for pryoblast and fireball auctioneer and azure drake mana. I just see that deck having problems with like hunter beast deck, or rouge tempo deck.

Enrages are strong too, because you can ping them with your hero power.

djwheat plays so slowly, im going crazy.

Doa's pretty good at these from what I've watched. He's lost 6 games in total and usually completely annihilates his opponents.

This game is going to be Blizzard's new cash cow.

Yeah unless you can hit 9 every arena (which may or may not give you enough gold to continue to arena) you get 5 gold every 5 wins so it takes 150 wins to get enough to arena or 100 wins to get enough for 1 pack. It's Ftp but the reward bar is set really poorly. You also can't buy crafting dust of gold you can only buy packs or buy 1 arena,
So if you're trying to get a specific deck you need to buy like 40 packs and then make that into dust w.e you didn't get though random packs. The dust payout is pretty bad as well.

I think the format looks really slow just as a baseline already, and my list does include sweepers. Id love to find out if i could get a goddamn key XD

Id love to find out if i could get a goddamn key XD It's slow because people don't have built decks with expensive cards but a good beast deck a good murloc deck could finish someone in 3-5 turns off a good draw. Which is why cheaper sweepers and taunt creatures with attack not just hp come in.
I mean mirror image just buys you a turn but doesn't harm their creatures, doomsayer is not a great sweeper it gets picked off too easily or just ignored(sap, deadlyshot, hunter's mark, equality, execute, hex, shadow word: pain, naturalize, repentence, silence) it's not a reliable sweeper, counterspell is okay be better at 2 and arcane missile is okay but without spellpower+ it's eh. If you're making a deck out of any card possible you gotta plan for decks like high tempo decks looking to kill in 4 turns if you're not disrupting their board state.

Well hopefully before beta is over Blizz will get enough feedback on that to improve the gold income of free accounts so FTP doesn't feel like it's at such a hopeless disadvantage.
Easiest way to kill the popularity of a FTP game is to develop a reputation of being pay to win.

Can you use Beta-Keys from EU? Since closed beta is Na only?

Agree with this 100%. I watched Artosis and DJWheat. From the gameplay I think Shaman looked the most fun to me personally, but if it ends up with a F2P structure that isn't truly F2P I wont' bother with it. That's something I can't stand is the whole "Yeah we're F2P but really it's easier for you in the long run if you just pay us for your stuff." Stuff that makes it quicker to build a deck for example. Other games have this "F2P" model and it's a real turn off personally.

It's a CCG I'm not so sure it's reasonable to expect it to not have some grinding with pay options to get out of that. The arena system is good for just playing and you can do it mostly without any investment but not 100%.
That kind of shit kind of comes with the CCG territory, every other similar game is just straight up pay.

Oh yea, I didn't mean as to say their current model is bad, more on the line that it could probably use some fine tuning in terms of how much gold/dust per hour a free player can earn so it feels rewarding.
The pay model shouldn't feel mandatory is all, just convenient.
I mean obviously it's a card game and with all card games it's really tough to beat someone who invests a TON of money into making the perfect deck. It is of the reasons the Arena function appeals to me so much and why draft tournaments in MTG appealed so much to me.
My concern at the moment is the cost of entry on the Arena right now and how much grinding you'll need to do to actually earn the gold required to even play it.

To me it fels like wining 5 games in Arena should be already enough to pay for another Arena

I can't wait for the game, hopefully they release the iOS version rather quickly, though I doubt we'll see it this year.
The only thing that bugs me is the payment model, I'd much, much rather just pay for the game upfront and not get advantages for money.

Wish I had beta, looks like a fun game I could just chill out with when I'm not in the mood for sc2.
But Blizz hates me and never gives me beta for any game

i hate to say this. But i hope there is a real money auction house or something.... Like a real life card game. The cards from what i see do not seem too imba as of yet. A RMAH or auction house/shop of any kind can help people build up decks.
I hope they also integrate tournements etc inside. This looks like it has potential for competitive play.

Then don't bother because that's exactly how it's gonna be, with the possibility of buying booster packs with real money.

I don't think this is gonna happen anytime soon considering the whole D3 real money auction house debacle. Plus Blizz has an easier way to monetize this game by selling the booster packs.
Edit: missing word
