Many of you have probably not heard (and im not sure why im the one announcing this lol) but Mani is having another child! I think it's a boy but i'll just change the thread title if it isn't!
First of all congrats Mani ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
Second, (and here is where you nerds come in) Manifesto7 has 100% solid A+ agreed in blood that if we chose a name via poll he will 100% absolutely guaranteed positively name his child whatever we chose.
NOW Because this is Teamliquid and everyone thinks we are elitist assholes (i concur with this assessment) we will have rules.
1) Posting just a name with no backup with result in an immediate ban. Im not even kidding. If you spam, we will abort you (lololol). 2) You need backup for your name selection. Even if its just a couple lines or whatever. 3) You can post as many entries as you want
At the end of the week we will have a poll and blah blah you know the rest, the child will be named as such
Edit: The kid's last name will be Ono (wife's last name)
edit for noob Kennigit:

The child's last name will actually be Ono, my wifes name. My first Child was Hanna Elizabeth Ono.
If the child is a boy, the middle name will probably be Hyde, which was my grandfather's last name. I have no idea for a daughter middle name.

My Entry
Raynor - i always wanted to call my dog Raynor (and by always i mean since a few months ago) and this would time in perfectly with it's birth and SC2 and TL blah blah. It can be raised into a true progamer

Falcor obviously.
Fuck me.
it is the name of a fucking dragon dog from "The Never Ending Story" and it screams ATREYUUUUUU
It also has a friendly voice and can carry small boys across distant lands. If you don't like the name "falcor" after saying it out loud you are probably a fucking fruit.

Lee Jay-can be appropriately abbreviated as LJ, so its not completely geeky, and at the same time can be misconstrued as LEE JAE DONG

Jay
Sounds like the "Jae" part of Ma Jae Yoon and Lee Jae Dong. The name of a true bonjwa ^^.

I'm going to pick Augustus with a middle name of Poisiden.
Why? Because if he becomes a progamer he would have the most badass IGN
|
Zeratul for boy, Kerrigan for girl.
Or Raynor
Or... Artanis?
On a serous note, Carter for a boy.
|
Magnus - Manliest name ever. Means "Great". Same name as one of the world's strongest men. Can be nicknamed.. Maggie? Fuck.
|
i support jay, except change the spelling to jae : D raynor is also good

Jim or Sarah, this goes without saying so why make a thread?

Quantavious.
Quite possibly the greatest name I've ever heard. He was caught robbing a store and I saw it on Fark. But let's be honest, any reasons I have for picking the name are dwarfed by the sheer awesomeness that is the name.
Let's break it down:
Quan: Sounds like swan, mon, john and numerous other things. Just say it: "QUAN!". How awesome would that be as a greeting?
tav: Another possible nickname, but nothing too interesting.
ious: All the best names end in "ious". Sounds like a New Yorker saying "i.o.u...s"
Best name ever. Quantavious!
(Seriously, I've always liked Jason. Put me down for that.)

I was gonna suggest a name like "Aron" or something like that, but seeing your Raynor suggestion... gonna have to go with Arcturus. Quintessential SC name, plus it sounds badass. Mani, do you have any preference between Anglo names versus Japanese names?
|
I'm actually rather curious how Mani got his wife to agree to this. As for the name, I would suggest "Celeste". I've always liked the way the name itself sounded, and although I am not a religious person, I can appreciate what its meaning: heavenly.

Is it too much to ask what is the boy's surname so we can pick something that goes well together with it?
|
Fedor, why not start this child off right and name him after the greatest fighter of all times.

Is there any way to verify the poll results? Aren't they easily falsified by people just creating alts?
As for the name, I suggest naming your child something from literature so it has a meaning.
How about Aïda? From the opera of the same name. She's a princess! I think it's really pretty, tbh.
And the opera is nice as well.
How about telling us a little bit about yourself, Mani? So we can come up with some fitting suggestions.
