Borat was really good and this may even top it. Sacha Baron Cohen is just amazing at what he does!

I mean, I hate to break it to some of you guys, but camera guys/sound crews are not, in fact, invisible.

Things like Velcro Suit, D&G Camo, and Dildo Martial Arts is stupid whether Bruno is flaming or not. Although "That is such a Samantha thing to say" was hilarious.

BRUNO is just as old a character as Borat. i really urge all cohen fans to go check out the original ali-g, borat, and bruno sketches from the original DA ALI G SHOW which aired on the BBC like 10 years ago. all the material that you see in the latest movies, hbo released in america is rehashed recycled from the original (imho much more brilliant) british versions. there is a skit where bruno goes to skinhead gathering that is quite amusing. + Show Spoiler + bruno: so have you any message for austria's gay community? skinhead A: ye! doan't be fughkin' gay!

Thank god i wasnt the only 1 who thought tropic thunder was a peice of shit! Anyway! back to topic! ![]() His a winner in my books even if the movie flopz! I hope this is a sign that he might make an ali-g "reality" movie, but the character maybe too well known to be able to pull off.

Well his cover is that he's a TV presenter for various fictional TV channels which would explain the camera's and sound crew to most of these people. They're not exactly fine examples of American intelligence.

The production team also deceived former presidential candidate Ron Paul into being interviewed by Bruno by posing as an Austrian TV show looking to question the congressman about economic issues. According to sources at Slate magazine, the interview starts out normally, but after a staged technical error, Bruno suggests he and Dr. Paul wait in the other room while the crew fixes a light. It is there that Bruno turns on music and begin dancing, which Ron Paul ignores at first. However, as soon as Bruno drops his pants, the congressman storms out of the room. A spokeswoman for Paul commented on the incident. She said Cohen's people were very deceptive in their tactics. At the time, she thought they were "legitimate," but now confesses to some concern. "I'm familiar with his work, so you can imagine how I feel about it," she said. Jesse Benton, senior vice president of Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty organization and former campaign spokesman for Paul, said Paul was not familiar with Cohen's HBO program, Da Ali G Show. "If it's not on hard-core financial news, he doesn't follow it," Benton said. But, he added, "It sounds like it's going to be pretty funny." [8] The story behind the ron paul bit.

The Ali G Show in da USA (HBO) is waaay better than the original. You realise the British version (BBC) is scripted right? Meaning most people in the show know that he is a prankstar. Whereas in the American version, no one knows who he is, so it's real pranks. Also the "Austrian Gay TV" part was from the HBO version.

In the Ali G Show (USA), they used letters with the official HBO letterhead to get people to interview. Ali G used a tv show for 'street kids'. Borat used a tv show for 'Learning American Culture for Kazakhstan' Bruno used a tv show for 'Austrian gay TV'.

And to the sub argument going on in this thread, of course it's not all real. If you think we think it's 100% real then the joke's on you. Obviously it's a movie, so they create a lot of false situations; like the Pamela Anderson kidnapping for example. The movie still has a plot, so the climax of the plot line. All the filler jokes along the way are the good parts. Some of these people are duped into thinking he's got a camera and crew there and is doing some show or documentary, when he's really using them for his jokes in his movie. Duh. If you don't like the candid camera/silly humor that's another thing. You're entitled to that.

Everyone was using the "HI FIVE, ITS NICE" stuff at every opportunity they got. Im curious as to what it will be like when bruno comes out. Whether people's homophobia will stop them from quoting just in case they are misinterpretted.
