Pancreatic cancer is the fourth-deadliest cancer, killing 75 per cent of sufferers within a year. Only 4 per cent make it to their fifth year.
According to Pancan, more than 37,000 people are diagnosed with the disease and more than 33,000 die from it each year in the US.
Pancan hopes the attention being paid to pancreatic cancer will at least result in more effective early detection. At the moment, less than 2 per cent of the American National Cancer Institute's budget is allocated to pancreatic cancer research.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but its worth a second watch. Its especially aimed towards those who still doubt that humans have evolved from apes (94% of humans DNA is identical to chimpanzee DNA). I don't remember where, but I read that the average intelligence of the modern chimpanzee is estimated to be equivalent to that of a 5 year old human.
