 Ok it doesn't make me HAPPY, but it contributes a tiny bit to it by being funny. I guess happiness comes from many small things... and you just notice the one thing pushing you the final way into it. I like to feed a lot on attention. Hmm. Of course, it's gotta be attention I reciprocate, getting it from people I don't like/value is a hassle. An exception which is alas no more valid, is weed. I could be in an extremly depressive mood and hate the world hate myself hate everything which can be hated... And then roll up a J and take a few puffs, and just lose all the negativity. All my worries would fade, either away or into a positive "not a problem, a challenge" light. It was usually combined with some euphoria. I'd go outside and just marvel at the beauty of everything alive or seemingly alive, like wind. Birds, sunshine, you name it. It was a great feeling. One of the greatest things I've felt in my life. Edit: By the way, my old marijuana highs' effects are very unusual, haven't heard of anyone get even close to them. So, kids, don't do drugs. Drugs are bad.  Since my "new" (more than a year) marijuana highs are impossible to compare with what they once were, the only recent times when I've felt that mood was when I was extremly tired, like after not having slept for over 18 hours. Maybe because all the thoughts running wild in my head would just shut down for once, and I was experiencing the peace of truly living in the moment? Maybe. | ||

Are you saying Susie that you don't even enjoy all the little things like a good meal, beer, friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, computer games, etc.? Aren't those the things that get you through life at the end of the day? Even if you aren't actually happy you can still enjoy stuff for fleeting moments. If you get to the point where that fleeting happiness isn't enough then that's when it starts to suck; I've definitely been there as well multiple times. So anyway, maybe my little story here can make you feel better about yourself, or at least not alone. Of course I enjoy the little things but like I mentioned (and you have too), that's all they are, little things that get me by. I think that's where I am right now, just kinda stuck. I have to continue to create and make things to look forward to so that I can deal with being so dismal all the time but even that's starting to take a toll on me. But it's nice to see that I'm not the only dissatisfied person out there. | ||
