i hate the feeling of having a gun pointed on me.. feels like some laser is coming out of the end burning me .. and i hate how the person always pointing it thinks it's funny as hell

If I lived in korea, NY or whereever the fuck walking is a possibility, I would. I live in Houston where everything is far apart. Im not calling a cab whenever I go out. Thats fucking naive. I know my limits and how much I can take. Yea I learned that going out with no sleep is dangerous that experience. SHould I just not go out from now?
I don't know if its so in other countries, but over here, its just a neccessary evil so to speak. You dont see people callin cabs after the club closes. Now, I wonder how these kids are getting home? Thats right, they fucking drive. It happens all the time. I just got called out for stating it bluntly. If there is a sober person who is riding with me, I do let them drive if I feel like I drank too much. You really have to be pretty fucking incompetent or drunk out of your mind to fail in driving.
Anyways, if someone close to you got hurt by a drunk driver, I understand. You can talk shit all you want to me. If not, get off your high horse. I never hurt someone and I dont plan to.

Every time I drive 45mph in a car down a two way street I am inches or feet away from death.
You guys need to lay off the guy talking about drinking and driving. Its true, what the hell are you gonna do with your car? leave it there to get jacked? Oh take a taxi? You have any idea how much taxi's cost? And you're saying he should take 1 there and 1 back obviously because he can't leave his car there or even if he does drive there sober he has to take a taxi back to get it right? Not to mention the price of drinks at the bar.
A good thing to do though, if you're going with a lot of friends is all meet up and pitch in on a taxi-van. Its a lot cheaper that way. We always shove like 7-10 people in the van and the cabbie gets all pissed but whatever.

this is a true story. me and my younger, full brother went to raging waters without any adult supervision. our step mother was pregnant with our half sister, so she was in the car. i was 13 and he was almost 12. we went to the wave pool, and he convinced me to go to the 6 feet section. needless to say, we werent 6 feet or anything.
he is quite the accomplished swimmer. he started at age 6 and he can get 54 seconds in a 100 free- he is talented and skilled. at this point, i didnt know how to swim yet. i never had the interest- i always preferred running. i was on a donut while he was treading and having fun. all of a sudden, these 2 white teens flipped my donut and before i knew it i was under water. they didnt try to kill me, they thought i could swim and was just messing around. i was freakin scared, i would have been dead if my brother didnt scoop me up. the lifeguard still didnt notice after i went to the shallow part huffing and puffing. it was a scary experience.

Better to take a somewhat expensive taxi ride than to kill someone because you "know your limits"

I don't have anything exciting :o, when I was younger and didn't know any side affects of tylenol(acetaminophen), I think i took about 20 tablets cus they made me feel great when I broke my leg. Once the effects started to dull down, I would take even more and even more. Long story short, I had massive liver failure and was hospitalized for awhile with a 20% chance of living. It was like being shot over and over again for a few weeks. Well anyway, I don't remember much but I had a slow recovery and even to this day my liver is badly damaged but I'll live.

gameguard and charliemurphy wow
when me /and/or my friends go clubbing we either bicycle, walk , take cab, take bus or have a ride with someone. driving is never an option. why are you taking your car to clubs?
it seems like it's a huge culture gap or whatever to call it from where i live. where i live it's zero tolerance. when you go clubbing you leave your fucking car at home

ive got plenty!
1: I was about 14 and I was down at Seaside with my brother and friend boogieboarding at around 11 at night. That year, there was really bad riptides, something like 3 people died and many other had to be saved. Anyway, we go out and after a while, we decide to call it a night cuz the water was real bad and it's hard when you can barely see. My brother n his friend hit the last wave, but i miss it and it pulls me deeper into the ocean. I miss the next two, but dont realize that im getting sucked out verryyyyy far during all of this. Long story short, i end up about two pier-lengths out into the ocean.(idk, 1/4 of a mile? shit was far) No vision, the riptide and being on my board made it something liek an hour swim in. I had to ditch the board cuz it was pulling me out. Ive never been so tired.
2: I got blindsided by an old, steel buick going 45mph. I went to go cross the street and didnt notice it cuz someone parked illegally on the corner. It hit my calf, which sent me into the hood (dislocating my shoulder several inches ><) and into the windshield. I only survived that cuz my arm blocked my head from going through. I landed on my head in the otherside and almost got hit by an oncoming car.
3: Me and my friend were going to meet these two girls. I go to merge onto RT. 80 and lose control (it was pouring out and this turn has accidents all the time, so theres a nice oil slick). I get stuck up on the curb in a blind spot. A second car comes and RAILS me and i hit the windshield pretty hard (i took off my belt at this point). I get out and try to get them out so they dont get killed, but the old bitch driving tells me to go fuck myself cuz she thinks 'i parked there'. Karma kicked her right in the face when the third car hit and sent her into the windshield. Hers broke and cut her up. The force of her car hit me and sent me flying about 20 feet into the middle of rt. 80 at night. Just missed getting hit by a car.
4: Last year, im driving around aimlessly with this girl I was seeing, figuring out what to do. We're coming up to this junction where rt. 46 and rt.23 merge with all these exits. (new jersey roads are HELL) they are doing contruction, so everyhing is confusing. This 18 wheeler to the right of me doesnt notice that he's in the wrong lane and hops over into my one lane. So at this point, there's a flimsy guardrail protecting me from a 30ft drop to my left; me and the chick almost up against said guardrail, a huge 18 wheeler taking up most of the lane goign fast and not seeing me and then a divider wall. I yank the e brake and cut the wheel hard right and just miss the wall and the corner of the truck and stop almost facing traffic. definitely thought i was gonna be about a foot thinner that day.

goddamn lots of near drownings, dont go in the water if you cant swim! and if your parents make you punch them in the genitals and tell them to fuck off. that or wear a cool bright orange vest.

No shit you dont plan on hurting someone. 99.9% of people dont get drunk then think "hey why dont i go driving and kill someone". It still happens dumbass.

In fact I remember there was some guy or group of people that offered such services. If people care or the government cares so much then why don't they have this?

FYI riding a bike is almost as bad. Operating a machine while drunk is bad and could kill/hurt people the same way. (sloppy bike riding and causing people to swerve and crash or whatever).
You can get a DWI or something (I forget what its called). In fact it used to be the same charge DUI as a motor vehicle, but they lessened it slightly here in California.
Besides, how the fuck do you keep balance on a bike if you are drunk? Oh you're not that drunk right? same fucking thing as driving a car.

You people telling me to walk or ride a bike, get real. Why dont you come to the US and ride your bike 30 miles to downtown and back. And who the fuck rides a bike to places in the states. Riding a taxi everytime you wana go out is almost as ridiculous. I am not made of money, nor would I go through that shit when I have my own car. Its pretty much accepted here that there will inevitably be drunk driving when people go out. I guess there is more of a stigma against this in Europe and its progressed enough that majority of the people find alternate modes of transportation. Also, you guys must live in some small ass towns if you can actually ride your bycicle everywhere.
Sometimes people just need to understand that customs and culture vary in different parts of the world. Read the snake vs. baby thread and you'll see what I mean.
Oh, and I dont think its fartetched to believe that many of you never go out in the first place. When you grow up and start having fun, you better pay for that damn cab, you hypocrite.
|
If you just want to drink, buy alcohol and drink at home. If you want to go clubbing, go out but you should be prepared to pay for a taxi. It's better to limit your club going and pay for taxis when you go out than endanger someone else or yourself.
