I know i know... In a perfect world, no one would drink and drive. But in reality, when you go to a club/bar/whatever and drink with your friends, you will still have your car at the end of the day. If im really fucked up as hell, I will leave my car and spend the night at someone's house if thats a possibility. But honestly, when you go out, everyones bound to get fucked up. There is no designated driver for my crew... everyone drinks. I am fucking careful when im drunk. I dont speed for no reason and shit. Its not like im actually gona lose control of the car cus im drunk... no matter how drunk I am. The accident was because I passed out WHILE driving. That shit will never happen unless im dead tired. I cant remember the last time I passed out due to alcohol. I hang til the end.

That way when you continue to be so incredibly selfish and drink and drive while tired, hopefully you won't kill anyone besides yourself.

they deserve a lengthy jailtime. its a shame they always take someone else with them when they crash and die.

When I was around 5 I almost drowned and had to be saved by a lifeguard. Around the same age I drove my bike off the school play structure, 6+ feet (thought it would stay parallel with the ground wtf) landed on my head and almost broke my neck, couldnt move it and somehow managed to drive my bike home. When I was 13 I was hit by a car on my bike, the most that happened was that I pissed my pants (literally). Thats about it for me, nothing truly epic.

Unfortunately, I fell asleep on the wheel and rammed my car into a 18 wheeler. If someone was in the passenger seat, they would have most likely died. I really could have died in that accident... It wasn't so much the alcohol, but the fact that I hadn't slept in like 24++ hours. Tiredness and drunkenness do not mix very well. That is the lesson I took home from that experience lol... Now, some people should say I should learn to not drink and drive... but seriously, we all gota drive home dont we? Not like im gona call a taxi and shit. I try not to get too shitfaced these days though. are you really this stupid? wtf?? i can't belive you have a driving license. how can you be so nonchalant about this matter? why didn't you just fucking sleep in the car or call a friend / family member to pick you up. or call a taxi whatever. it's NEVER acceptable to drive while under the influence if you had lived in sweden you would've faced a 1-5months long jailtime depending on how much alcohol in your system. what penalty did you get? edit: On October 13 2007 17:44 gameguard wrote: I know i know... I hang til the end. you should read about how alcohol affects your system and body. wtf what is the legal limit to drive where you live? in sweden it's 0.2 promille. thats like 1-2 beers. if you have 1 promille thats heavy and you will probably end up in court and lose your driving license for aminimum of 12months. if you are in a crash it gets much worse WHY ARE YOU TAKING YOUR CAR IF YOU GONNA GO CLUBBING?!!?

yeah, that sounds like the wild west! ^^ i have never been hurt in a serious way and i guess you can't really tell whether you were close to death if you aren't hurt. i mean me and some friends had a crash on the autobahn at a starting speed of 170km/h and nobody even had a scratch although 2 cars were fubar. or i've jumped into deep water when i couldn't swim but somehow managed to get out. also who knows how many times i've been in a life threatening situation while climbing or skiing or mountain biking and didn't even notice it? guess i'm one of the lucky ones who hasn't been seriously injured at all. but as you grow older and you witness more and more terrible accidents, deaths of family members etc you do realize how it changes you. you get more cautious and sometimes even scared. i guess that's why old people are as they are. T_T unlike young people they have experienced how it feels if something goes wrong. for example about 2 months ago a friend of mine got hit by lightning right into the head. luckily she survived but there were weeks where the doctors couldn't tell at all. and although in retrospect i guess it shouldn't teach me anything i remember that it made me realize that you have to appreciate the fact that you are alive and healthy.
