I wonder how many of the saints jumping on gameguard and charliemurphy have even been in a situation where there's not much other choice but to drive drunk? And how many are just hypocrites? I'm not arguing over the safety of the practice. I just think some of idiots wishing paralyzation and death on gameguard need to stop being so childish.
I do drink and I don't drive if I've been drinking. The limit here is 0.05 but atm I'm on a 0.0 limit (4 more months till I'm on 0.05) and I'd treat it the same once I get there. I've walked past my car with my keys in my pocket at 6am in the morning at the train station, feeling semi-sober but knowing that really I'm not and walking home from the station instead of entering my car (1 hour walk).
It's simple really, if you're going out you organise transport home. If you can't do that and still want to go out, put up with it and fucking walk before you kill some innocent bystander thinking that you are still able to drive safely.
A walk home by me would take i dunno 7 hours?... also the risk of crossing an entire big city walking on the night is quite big... there is no public transport (besides sporadic taxis) available also.
Anyway as ive said before i can drive better than anybody i know when in drunk, i can control the car in any situation much better than pretty much any of you sober so should i scream that "you all are fucking going to kill families because you suck at driving?" get a grip.
Most people who are so stupid about this dont even own a car or dont drink so they have no idea about this issue, so stfu already unless you do own a car and also drink often.
Have you read any of the alcohol effects? it gives the driver the illusion that he drives better when drunk when its completely NOT TRUE and proven, and we dont have to drink or drive to understand how dangerous this is for the driver and other people. ah its disturbing how flawed the logic of some people here is
Can someone explain how you feel when you're drunk? I've never dranken before and I plan not to, but theres alot of curiousity. Like do you know what you're doing, why do girls get all horny while drinking, etc?

What does it matter whether he owns a car? Baal, I am pretty sure I've driven more miles in my life than you have (without so much as a fender bender, I might add), does that mean I can tell you to just shut up?
His post is totally relevant to the situation. You know full well how easy/difficult it will be to get home from wherever you are going. If you can't do it without driving drunk, you shouldn't do it. Maybe you are a safe driver even if you've had a few, but that's no reason to be such a dickhead (I know it comes naturally to you) about the overall issue of people driving drunk. To be more specific: Do you agree or disagree that drunk drivers cause tens of thousands of deaths per year? If yes, do you think it should be legal? Where do you draw the line? As Funchucks and other people have pointed out, it's all a matter of statistics and probabilities. Are you saying you've never in your life been so fucked up that you couldn't drive safely??
First of all, no you havent lol... i race cards dude, so no... you havent unless u commute a shit load of miles every day, and even if that is the case obviously my hability to control and handle the car under ANY situation is by far way superior than yours.
Okay, then let me know: How many miles?
Not to mention the fact that you still haven't answered WHY Eri's opinion should be valued less than yours because of how many cars he owns.
I am a very safe drunk driver, actually im honest when i say i rather drive myself drunk than any of my friends sober(who obv also own cars), that is how safe i am.
However i am not defending my choice but the choice of many people who are infact SAFE drunk drivers.
Yes irresponsable drunk drives cause many deaths... also plastic bags, stairs etc... there is no reason to go stupid about it, when u mention legalizing i am not saying it should be legal however i believe there is a way to actually REDUCE the deaths of drunk driving and also reduce the stupid DUIs that fuck so many people.
Simple as this, if you are driving under the influence, turn on your flahsers or however u call them, and your speed limit should something like 25mph on the right lane... thats it... fucking responsable driving, i guarantee you that law is 100 times better than the current one, simply because when u are driving drunk u are already breaking the law, ur speed is irrelevant, there is no way out of it if u get caught... this way you get a reasonable way out, and you actually prevent deadly accidents.
That works fine, unless some moron drives past running red lights at 120 mph.

It's dizziness, it's forgetfullness, it's lack of second thought. It's plain fun. It's like life is a roller coaster and every step is a new ride that makes you feel happy. It's like a concussion but sweet and pleasant (unless you overdid it or it's your first time, then it's pain in your insides). The scientific effects are better when you feel them than they sound, and thus are worse for you.
Girls probably get "horny" for the same reason as guys - lack of second judgment. I forget what it's called, but there is a brain lining that completely shuts down when a person has ingested too much alcohol. This lining is responsible for that "I shouldn't do that!" thought. It's gone. Zero.
That's why it's so fun. You do crazy shit, your friends do crazy shit, and as far as all of you know at the moment, it's hilarious and okay. You wake up with a throbbing headache and scant memories that might make you ashamed or might make you feel like a hero, depending on how much of an ass you are.
That's what excessive drinking is to me.
EDIT: Oh yea, and as mentioned before, you think you're the king of the world and you are best at everything. Damn that is such a good feeling. Even as I stumble over my own feet when trying to handle a ball and spill beer on my shirt I feel that I am the best soccer player in the fucking world and call Ronaldino and Christiano Ronaldo faggot wussies.

You responded before I added this.
No problem. I'm not trying to endorse drinking, although I do enjoy it greatly - I think if it's your choice not to drink yet, that is great. I've just been around it my entire life, it's an essential part of it almost. You should wait until you get older in most cases, but when you get there, don't overdo it. Good luck with it I guess xD.
Okay, so one time I was sitting on my computer... and I had set up several bases all over the map, but this guy came out with carriers and was taking them out one by one, and I was barely able to get out enough hydralisks to take them down.. Oh wait, not that kind of near death??
Seriously though, I hate it when people say they are careful drivers when they're drunk. First of all, you're not capable of being careful or responsible. BUT if you don't believe me, and you insist that you are nice and slow and capable when drunk, then there's still another problem, and it's the bigger one. When you're drunk your response time is waaaay limited. So even if you're a fucking ace ass driver when you're drunk, if some other fucker isn't as good at driving and accidentally veers across traffic at you, then instead of swerving away like you would sober, you take 10 seconds to figure out what to do, when you have less than 1, and then you're fucking head on dead.
Long story short: even if you drive well, you can't deal if the other guy doesn't.
Anyways.. I actually came sortof close to death every weekend for most of 2006/7. I used to work on a tallship, and I would often be climbing up in the rigging, sometimes 100 feet up without anything holding me on except my own hands and feet. One false move and I'd be splat on the deck. In a job like that you just learn not to think about falling. You get used to it... but you also learn to be very very deliberate and cautious at all times.
I spun my car into a grassy median on the highway. I didn't almost die in that scenario but if I had hit something at 60 mph (I hydroplaned after a giant truck pulled out in front of me) I could be singing a different story.
Instead, all I came away with was a $75 towing fee and years of being scared shitless while driving in the rain.

oh and in case u dont believe i do race cars here is a brief video:
me n my friend were crossing the street, j-walking, and it was a red light, cars were lined up and still coming, but we went thru them neway, and on the last lane i almost got hit by an suv as i leaped onto the sidewalk. good times......

Nothing's wrong with your story (aside from it being hard to believe, incredibly foolish and dangerous). The fact that you were sober actually makes the story all that much worse, because even with your full mental facilities, you made a bone-headed, selfish decision like that.
This is why I bring the story up: The fact that you seem to have no problem driving at any level of drunkeness proves the same thing that the story does: that you don't have the required judgment to be a good driver.
Your judgment is a huge factor in how good a driver you are; in fact it's mostly the bad judgment that makes young drivers so dangerous (after all, they have better vision, reflexes, and motor control than older drivers). Anyone here who's had accidents as a new driver can confirm this fact: that in the majority of cases, if they'd had better judgment of the situation, they likely would have avoided the accident. The only things lacking in a new driver are experience and judgment, and good judgment alone can reduce the risk to a new driver a great deal.
This is why your story alone makes me 100% sure that I'm actually a safer driver than you are.
You're probably a better race car driver than I am, that I concede. That doesn't change this fact. You could make your car spin around on one tire, balanced on a flagpole, it still doesn't make you a good driver. It might make you a skilled driver, but not a good one.
BTW, since you're making blanket assertions regarding our relative abilities, with no evidence or arguments, I might as well claim that I am far richer than you are, and that my dick is more than twice as large. Take that!
