The guy who's driving after drinking is fucked up and deserves to rot. There's a limit to how fucking irresponsible you can be.
As for the topic... I almost drowned once, when I was learning how to swim - the hard way Once I was speeding down a hill on a bike (without a helmet or any other protection, stupid me) like 40 km/h and lost control of the bike for some reason. I managed to slow down a bit but I ended up hitting a tree. To make it even funnier I've hit it with my face and then proceeded to fly for a couple of metres, landed on my elbow and lost consciousness soon after. When I woke up (a couple of minutes later, I think) I didn't really feel much pain altough I was badly bruised. I picked up my bike and went home. To make a long story short, nothing major happened, my head was fine despite the hit, my whole body was covered in scratches, I sprained my left arm and damaged my knee. Nothing broken tough. I didn't look very pretty the next couple of days but my face strangely recovered
I am one lucky bastard.

i was once really super close to being ran over by a trem when I was walking really really stoned through amsterdam
like there was this group of girls walking 5 meters ahead of me and I just followed them mindlessly looking at their feet not looking up for like a couple of minutes cause I was completely in my own world and then suddenly I see them speed up a little and I look to my right and theres this trem coming right at me at high speed, I would die instantly if it hit me then I'm just barely able to jump out of the way, I was wearing a heavy backpack and I could almost feel myself getting sucked back in from the wind created by the trem, and then some person on a bike almost ran me over right after (guess he or she wasnt expecting a person to pop out right in front of the trem) and then I just yelled JESUS cause I was just so shocked at what had just happened then I kept walking with a smile on my face
|
For some reason soccer moms always have to talk on their cellphone or just look anywhere but the road and nearly run me over but look at the last second because I'm shouting JESUS CHRIST or something like that.
Though I'm pretty sure I would've survived if they actually hit me with a few broken bones but still, getting nearly run over gives you a very nasty feeling inside.

i know that feeling. once when i was driving to a party someone took away my right of way (perhaps he was drunk and tired...) but i was able to aviod him... soo close to serious injuries... but in the end, i laughed and enjoyed my life that party, even without (!) alcohol (got that, korean kamikaze?).

Gameguard... people's mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters all drive on the same roads as you. I just can't fathom why you would want to risk the life of someone else's son or daughter. It's crazy. You're just really fuckin dumb. Like.. super dumb. I'll bet even if you hit a young girl or something you'd still be like "oh well... not like im gonna bother call a TAXI or anything? Nah, that'd b way too hard"
loooooserrrrrrrrr die plz kthx faggot

It wasn't so much the alcohol, but the fact that I hadn't slept in like 24++ hours. Tiredness and drunkenness do not mix very well. That is the lesson I took home from that experience lol... Now, some people should say I should learn to not drink and drive... but seriously, we all gota drive home dont we? Not like im gona call a taxi and shit. I try not to get too shitfaced these days though. dude don't drink and drive..ur not only endangering ur own life by doing that but the life of someone else..just don't..ask soemone for a ride..or call a dam taxi but don't drink and drive..wtf is wrong with u? I know i know... In a perfect world, no one would drink and drive. But in reality, when you go to a club/bar/whatever and drink with your friends, you will still have your car at the end of the day. If im really fucked up as hell, I will leave my car and spend the night at someone's house if thats a possibility. But honestly, when you go out, everyones bound to get fucked up. There is no designated driver for my crew... everyone drinks. I am fucking careful when im drunk. I dont speed for no reason and shit. Its not like im actually gona lose control of the car cus im drunk... no matter how drunk I am. The accident was because I passed out WHILE driving. That shit will never happen unless im dead tired. I cant remember the last time I passed out due to alcohol. I hang til the end.
There's probably a bandwagon by now, but I want to jump on it.
That's a fucking selfish attitude to take. You'd rather risk your life and EVERYONE ELSE YOU PASS ON THE ROAD than use public transport/walk/get a fucking taxi.
You fucking suck.

I hope you fucking go to jail. I lost a friend who was biking home and got hit by a drunk driver. I'm sure he thought he would be fine driving too. You're a fucking retard.

When I was little, I almost choked on a jawbreaker. I spent the first minute or so trying to get my stupid-ass mom to do something. But after she just kept going "what's wrong? what's wrong??" I had to use the chair method.

when i was a kid i was locked by accident into a car trunk at mid day with a temperature of 42°C (pretty common here) was there for about 4 hours, pretty stressing, start losing all your strength, start losing your liquids due sweat, being unable to breath well because the motherfucking trunk its full of hot air, until finally you pass out.. lucky me, my parents found me (if anyone ask wtf i was doing in a car trunk, i wish i know.. i think i was playing hide & seek or something)

I guess the closes I ever came was this ceiling fan in my room. It must of been wired wrong or something. Because I went to turn it on and sparks and blue lighteing and shit was flying all over. If the string did not have a plastic handle over the metal. I be a crispy nugget right now.

well if you were playing hide and seek you probably won, since no one found you for four hours. which is odd, how did your parents, or anyone for that matter, not notice your absence for that long ;x

i think the closest i've ever been was when i got mono earlier this year, i managed to get it so bad even the doctors said it was one of the worst cases they've ever seen... but i don't really know how close i was to dieing, if i was even close. only thing that they said is if i got to the point that i couldn't swallow that i had to go to the hospital because it would have been life threatening. almost got to that point but i didn't. also my spleen was really enlarged(which can happen with mono) and if it had ruptured i would've had to go to the hospital and probably(supposevily) died, or something. couldn't do anything active for months afterwards because my spleen was still enlarged.

I got stabbed in the back of the head with a ski pole. I still dont know exactly what happened. I had to go to the hospital and get 15 stitches. The doctor/my parents could see the bone of my skull exposed. I was a couple inches from death.

Ouch...
Surprisingly, I've never almost died. Cheers to living in Canada.

Two experiences during which I actually felt that I might have died: Extremely severe case of rheumatic fever at twelve. Getting dragged by a stream while swimming in the ocean when I was seven.
In both cases I felt completely helpless and knew that I might be facing death.
