A couple of days ago we received some terrible news about Danny. Late last week Danny passed away.
About a month ago Danny was involved in a bad car accident. He had been out of the hospital for a couple of days staying with a friend when he suffered some medical complications. He unexpectedly passed away in the night.
We here at TourettesGUY.com are deeply saddened by this news as we love Danny. The reality of Danny's death hasn't sunk in yet, even a few days later. It is our burden to share this news with you - the millions of fans who also love Danny.
In about a week we will be putting the videos back up. We thought about taking the site down for good, but Danny's videos are already all over the internet and we felt that we could do some good with the site. We will be releasing all the videos along with one last new video in a high quality DVD format in memory of Danny. This DVD will be free to download, but you will also be able to purchase a physical copy. All proceeds from the DVD will go to Danny's family.
When the site is completely back up, we will have a service enabling you to send your condolences. We would also like to hear how Danny has positively influenced your life. Please be respectful, and send your letters to letters@tourettesguy.com. Shortly, we will be posting a letter from the person who discovered Danny.
We will miss you Danny!!! May you finally rest in peace.

anyone seen his videos and liked them? i thought he was funny to watch, but i dunno if it was "right" to laugh.

now its definetly not right to laugh. I laughed at many of the videos and assumed they were all faked or staged. I'm still not sure to this day if they are. Its not gonna be funny anymore now that he is dead, and we shouldn't remember him as the guy that humorously swears out of place.

Its definately staged. And i dont think just because he's dead its wrong to laugh. Wouldnt he want his work to make people keep laughing anyways?

It's never a "wrong time" to laugh. Hell, John Cleese had the people at Graham Chapman's funeral laughing. The tourette's guy videos are hilarious, and whether they're staged or not doesn't change how funny they are to me. They were shared for their comedic value and the comedian didn't seem to have a problem with it.

man wtf is up with dying in car accidents? so many people die that way and its such a shitty and sudden way to go. i think we should all live our life to the fullest cuz seriously we never know who might be next to go. hell, i was in a car accident just two months ago. i was in stop-n-go traffic on the freeway and some idiot falls asleep at the wheel, rams into the car behind me which hits me twice. i had to replace my bumper and mild neck pain but the car behind me had a totaled trunk and probably fucked up necks now.

Thats not real right? I mean, hes acting right? I've been around people with tourretes. But this would be the worst I have ever seen.

I just can't tell if it's real or not because I've never even seen someone with tourettes. (Apart from the one in boondock saints I guess.) I really have no idea how someone with tourettes would act. Don't they curse just in certain situations?
Either way, he was pretty damn funny. My favorite quote was with the salt.

Tourettes guy is awesome. Him dying is sad though.....
It's probably staged, because my friend IRL has tourettes and does not act like that. They have "tics", and they do these weird body movements like my friend always grinds his teeth or stiffens his arm. Sometimes, he makes these weird noises from his mouth too. He only lashes out at me or my friends when he has a tic. He says he's just fucking annoyed at the fact that he can't stop it from happening, so he just screams out in disgust. He always apologizes afterwards.

I think maybe this guy does have tourettes but they just put on an act trying to bring out the tourettes even more. Its sorry acting when the kid comes in the kitchen and goes like "dad lets go buy some capn crunch cereal" Like its all a show. Why does he always wear the same clothes too?
Some of it sounds really real while some of it sounds completely staged, and it probably is. Thats my take.
PS- most people with tourettes just have uncontrollable movements its only the severe cases that shout and say profanities etc.

Huh? Staged or not, they were still exhibited on the internet for people to watch...
So any reaction is fair game. Exhibiting the person in such a way is SEEKING for a reaction. Actually, a lot of why it's become popular is probably because of reactions that weren't exactly positive.
