In order to maintain some kind of respectable thread quality and to show some respect for those who lost friends in this tragedy, we're forced to enact a hard line policy for this thread. Geez, I suppose it was too much to hope for that this thread would not be littered with runaway speculation.
Any news on the black box? That is about the only hard evidence we are likely to get in the near future.

What's a black box going to give you? As far as I know, passenger jets do not have missile warning systems, or any other data that could indicate where the missile originated from.

How it went down, any notice of engine troubles, timings, transmissions, etc.
Reading the transcript of the KAL 007 box did give a fair bit of insight into what happened there, for example.

Can someone provides the radar picture of weather at the time that plane was shot down, I wanna see how cloudy it was, my theory is that if the plane flew above the clouds, the separatists shot blindly at the plane they saw on radar and thought it belonged to Ukraine army.
