The first picture I got I instantly thought I knew where it was, and was more-or-less right (Lake Louise). Only problem is I didn't point to the right spot; I pointed to Glacier National park instead of Yoho national park. Still only 100km away though. edit: actually it was Moraine Lake, but that is really super close to Lake Louise. I didn't even know I could move the picture! Second picture was epically impossible to guess because of the fact it was the middle of freaking nowhere in the north American prairies — no big deal; it's not like it's one of the largest land areas on the whole damn planet! | ||

Edit: I'm reading Google street view has been through parts of Japan, Singapore, South Korea, etc. I suppose there's a lot more content from Americas/Europe so the odds are low it would be anywhere else. | ||

Biggest things I looked for were language and which side of the road the cars were on. In a few runs I'm finding I'm decent about getting countries right, but never the right part of the country. | ||

 I just spent 20 minutes following this road in Alaska a little down Route 2 outside of Anchorage through the Tanana Valley State Forest on both google maps street view and geoguessr, trying to find a point of comonality because I couldn't make out the damn sign next to the bridge of the creek near where I started. Got within .5 km though. High score so far is ~24221. | ||
