Always guess Moscow imo, all the Russian one's I've had have been around there. Trees, depends what they look like, probably either Australia or Alaska though.

O fun game FIrst one i got was kinda easy, just went looking around till i saw some street names and put them into google 0.427 km from location for 6443 points, on to the next one Its verry adictive already lol hmm 2nd one was more difficult, 2000 km for 1908 points. On the first one i could go around with no limits while this one did have borders, might have been some bug with the first one as it was extremely easy.

I found a sign that said "Perth: 557" but the only distance on that scale that I have for reference is 3000 miles across the US, so I literally stuck a piece of paper on the screen and marked it off about where I thought 557km would be, followed the major marked road East of Perth that far, and ended up 15km off, so that was a big part of it. Also, googling stuff is cheating! It's all about your own knowledge.
I literally just got a location that had no arrows to scroll around. It's in the middle of someone's backyard and all i can do is swivel the view around 360 degrees. If google is cheating, then geoguessr is bullshit. I'm resorting to googling about tree types.

This game is so random lawl.
Got 2 within 10km in one round. The city pics are way easy compared to all the Brazil.

Yeah, just green fields are really difficult to guess, I can never tell whether it's europe or north america
Yeah, trees can tell you just about how north it is though, so that's good.

Yay, finally broke 10k!
This is actually pretty fun! Also really cool to explore, in a sense. I've gotten a lot of really off ones by looking at signs around the area and putting the wrong country, e.g. Spain instead of Mexico

got 19,250 on my best try, but that time one of my pics was the island of Madeira. Such a tough one

I just got a picture with a road and trees.... nothing else. Still got it sorta right, it was in the US. It felt good.
There goes my morning!

32363 I found out how to cheat so I have near perfect answers. + Show Spoiler + Proof
I would estimate 6,500 as probably the theoretical highest, making 32,500 a perfect score probably.
As for legitimate playing, whenever I saw a dirt road, blindly guessing Australia would work half the time with South America being the other half :p.

I had some of my friends play this with me, we would write down where we thought it was on notecards and compare. It's fun to see how bad at geography we all are. My brother guessed czechoslovakia for one of them:D

9733 after 5/5 images first try. One of my pictures was on a fucking cruiseship. No lie, literally a picture of like the main deck inside the ship of the elevator going up and some bartenders and the help desk. Only employees in the picture so no clue what kind of "patrons" they had to guess their cities they might be visiting and no views of the ocean at all. Guessed carribean near the bahamas (actually took a couple cruises there and went with what I knew) ended up being like 200km away in Miami actually lol.
Also to the people using Google and cheating, wtf why? That defeats the whole purpose of the game. Thats like taking a trivia quiz and googling all the answers and then being proud you did so well. Supposed to guess based on your knowledge, not googling street names and signs.

Well, I guessed Moscow and it turned out to be Novosibirsk (3000 km apart)... Also the picture with nothing but trees was from Africa (Botswana I believe).

That's a ridiculously high score, wtf, something like 4000 on every try on average, which is what, within 100 kilometers?! I got 2.8k for a guess 157 km off :O is this supposed to be off the top of our heads alone or are you guys looking up names of stores/landmarks/signs or what O_O

This is pretty fun, I'm going to nerd out on this for a while.

A lot of my tries were around 11k. The one I got really high was because most of the stuff that showed up I had been to (Taiwan, California), or there were obvious clues like street and location names (a park in Newcastle, Australia; a Chanel store in Cannes, which shows up in GeoGuessr's map if you look for it long enough). A lot of luck is involved because some of the images have really clear clues.

This is fun but too random Id say. Literary every second picture is just a road with nothing to give you a clue near.
