As a movie, SST was a good comedy. You can ruin any movie if you want it magically to be a tribute to the book. Usually they aren't. Don't read books. | ||

For Starcraft, their main influence was Starship Troopers, which is why SC is so similar to it. From the news flash cinematics to the concept of an "overmind" that can be pacified by those psychic scientists (ghosts). Remember that one part where the "dead stukov" was ejected from the ship in that little coffin pod? Yea, that was taken from Starship Troopers as well. | ||
