Is it legal to use those pictures? Trademarked names and characters that look nearly the same. Don't some Japanese company own those images and are they protected from lawsuits? From what I can remember, Ash gets Pikachu to fight until the poor little pokemon is all beat up on the ground covered in dirt. And seeing how bad they sometimes get beat up and they never seem to bleed, I assume that pokemon either don't have blood or the blood is censored because it's a kid's show. Either way they feel pain and discomfort and even the good characters are known to put them through that.
I loathe PETA and this is ridiculous, but Pokemon's premise is that you can catch all the pokemon and get them to fight in tournaments for glory.

Most of the time I prefer animals over people. Ironically, stupid shit like this is why. So brilliant campaign I guess. Of course I'll never support them in anything they do because of it as well, but there's always a trade off.

And a spin in a machine cures all ailments. If anything, the Pokemon game make children giant pussies, scared to walk in grass because ROUS and tweety birds will murder you the first chance they get. At least they always drag your unconscious body to safety after robbing you of half your money. The main character always get their tiny pokemon where the surrounding creatures are tame as hell. What happens to kids whose parents decided to buy a house on the victory road huh? Give the kid a lvl 5 pokemon so he can go get murdered? They better have a 94 rare candy deal ordered through Amazon and delivered right to home because there's no way to step outside the house. Can you even imagine if you walk in the grass with a fairly leveled up pokemon when a giant tiger comes and kick you in the nuts before running off just because some ass hole decides to go wake them from their slumber for no reason?
What this game needs is Link. No grass, no problem.

just me that got alot of enjoyment from petas nude campaign when i was younger then??
To be honest peta was kind of my guide when becoming a vegetarian about 5 years ago but i think they need to choose their battles more wisely plus... As much as i love the smiths i fucking hate morrisey with a violent passion

Well Pokemon is basically a fancy version of cock fighting or cricket fighting. You catch them, train them, and fight them. I'm pretty fine with that though.
On the other hand, all the newer pokemon games really emphasize making your pokemon happy. You feed them berries and dress them up and have beauty contests or cooking contests and stuff to make them happy. Some don't even evolve unless they're happy with you. PETA is pretty dumb though.

Pokemon aren't animals. They are Pokemon.
Please PETA, tell me. What animal is Geodude? Machoke? Clefairy?
Just becuase Onix looks like a "snake" doesn't mean that it is. I can attach a happy face on a piece of paper to a swirly string. This doesn't make it a snake.

Game Freak should make a PETA like organization the next arch-villain in the next Pokemon.
Oh wait.

But this is the purpose of pokemon. To be pokemon. Often enough Ash and the others gets struck by a pokemon attack aswell. If anything, pokemon makes "animals" look like they have souls, spirits and wills.
Even the "premise" of animals fighting should not be new. It is as old as biological life. Animals fight over anything. "The good guys" do in no way mistreat their pokemon in anything they do. Not even when fighting in the arena. Never are they treated badly.
Household pets are also about "catching" animals. You buy them and keep them, and make sure they never run away. It's not natural. The animals are not living like animals, they are living to fulfill the needs of humans. Yet they are not treated badly (in general). Just as pikachu is never treated badly either. If anything, pikachu faces struggles, the same as Ash, and is not a helpless innocent animal without a soul or dreams -- he has more human qualities than any real animal I ever saw, atleast. I'll leave it at that. This topic feels abundantly stupid.

Silly PETA. Just because I watched pokemon growing up doesn't mean I will be more inclined to watch cockfights (even though that's what pokemon amounts to).

I don't even...seriously?? Wow...omfg, wow.

There's nothing better than naming your Pokemon "FUCK BITCHES" and using Shame on the evil Ash. Peta >

Although I must say that the "do you liek mudkipz' bullshit lost any shred of credibility they might have had.
