Oh and usually chinos for pants since they are more comfy than jeans.
Considering to add a tie once in a while but I'll be seen as overdressed if I do.
I just recently bought my first pair of chinos and I love them. Not sure how I didn't know of these things before. They look nice and are so much more comfy than jeans. I still like jeans but I think having more options is nice. I've also been tempted to try out the casual tie look(?) but I think most people will go "wtf why you so dressed up?" Maybe it's just one "fuck what you think I look fly" kinda things.
I like the JCrew pea coat a LOT. However, the Ralph Lauren Macy's one is also pretty good. As stated before, try them on before you buy them so you don't regret anything.
Just a heads up for those interested in shopping at JCrew who weren't aware:
JCrew offers a 15% student discount when you shop in their store. Just mention it at check out (probably good to have your student ID as well, although I've never had to show mine).
Thinking of buying something similiar..maybe just a tad lighter..but still, nice shirt So sick of all my shirts with only "chess-printing"..have too many of those, they were really popular in Norway for a while :-D Also JWD's peacoat is really cool! I have one similar only it's in black. If people are unsure wether to buy a shorter or longer peacoat..just buy two ^^
Myself I find they fit to different occasions. For more everyday\realx outfit, a shorter one is best, but if you suit up, or your'e going too a nice party\meeting then a longer one over your suit is nice :-) For colours I find grey\black\dark brown or navy workes best..usually goes for all jackets and it's easy to match with the rest of your outfit.

quoddy shoes: leather as soft as a girl's cheek pink moleskins acots! cannot say enough of how the ascot has elevated the comfort and elegant cool of my daily wardrobe
my personal style is probably kinda odd for most men: tons of colors and patterns and interestingly matched items. tons of colored skinny ties, red or pink pants. i try to mix in more 'normal' sedated items with the crazy stuff but i don't always look like your avereage TLer i'll take some pictures if anyone is interested.
I love Diesel jeans. Their other clothes can be hit or miss, but their jeans are the best. And they are very well built. I have pairs I still wear from 6-7 years ago and they age well and look awesome.
This thread needs some photos of full outfits. Not just individual links to clothes items. I have no way of knowing whether you guys have good fashion sense and/or whether you guys are believable. So get those cameras out and start posting!
J-Crew and Ralph Lauren are both good brands but they are usually a bit bulky and I question their materials. Both brands make clothing that is a bit large (I easily fit into their M and still don't like their fit)
Peacoats are a toughie because they can't be too short, and if they are too bulky you just end up looking silly.
I guess it depends on your build/height/style/race. More expensive brands like Theory, Ralph Lauren Black, John Varvatos or even store brands like Bloomingdales/Barneys offer cashmere peacoats that use thinner but more comfortable material such as cashmere/modal/merino. Also the expensive brands tend to be slimmer and tighter fits that look better (at least in my opinion)
You should even consider the mid-tier brands like John Varvatos Star where they may use the same material but have better style.
Calvin Klein may have decent ones for the cheapest prices.
dude I'm glad that you found things that are on sale, but I encourage you to go shop around at thrift or vintage stores, and find something with character. stop buying new crap mens fashion. you must look harder for good style.

I have always just worn levis, can get three pairs of levis for one pair of diesels and they fit me better. But IMO theres nothing wrong with dropping 200 on jeans. You can easily wear a pair of jeans 400 times making it 50 cents per wear, so if diesel fits you I approve.
And yeah jeans and a T can be good, but those shoes, ew ew ew.
