ya someone on SF posted it lol a satisfied toj customer testimonial. Toj is life changing. You know, I think the whole TOJ experience was good for me too in that sense. I actually cancelled my second order because I asked myself do I really need this? Will this really improve my life? The answer, of course, was no. I was riding the bus home the other day when a bunch of high school kids walked on. This one teenage boy was wearing a jansport backpack with holes in it and some levis, but what did I see on his feet but those familiar gold letters stamped on a pair of Common Projects achilles. His friends were wearing beat up whatever-sneakers and you could tell that by most of their clothes they didn't really care about fashion. And here was this kid wearing a pair of shoes that were worth more than the rest of his outfit, and nobody cared or noticed besides him (and me, lol). I was wondering what website he goes too that got him to buy into the idea of spending hundreds of dollars on plain-looking white sneakers in high school. I wondered how I had bought into that idea so many times on styleforum. It's not that I have anything against enjoying an article of clothing, but ultimately we make a choice to care about these sorts of things. And I won't stop caring about clothes and fashion in the future, but it will definitely be a lot less than it is now. There are much better things to care about in life than the softness of the dyed skin of an animal on my back. I believe a big reason people fell in love with the TOJ brand was how human it felt to have the creator posting and sharing ideas with his community. Now that he's absent, we're left with just jackets, just things. When I get my $850 back from Drew I'm going to buy a heap of cheap winter coats and donate them to the local coat drive.

andy what do you use to protect the suede/clean it? I sprayed meltonian water & stain protector. I've a feeling they're gonna get dark really quick no matter what since white suede attracts all kinds of stuff.

I have never slipped on anything other than wet marble in foyers in any of my dress shoes but the Americans always bang about how slippery they are.. Yeah, same for me actually. Edit: I mean, sure, you may be taking some risks if you go out with brand new leather-sole shoes and there is like glaze ice on the streets.
