Ive attempted to hack back when I played CSS but i was really dumb and didnt know how to do it. Now that I am a lot older i refuse to hack in any form.

Some cheats are awesome though.
I mean cmon, everyone must have gotten the e=mc2 trooper on AoE1! 10 of those bad boys and you don't need to attack, just base-camp and nuke from afar!

Yes, when I used to play MoH:AA my clan ran a very popular server with modded maps (we found all the glitch points where you could get under the map and closed them with objects, amongst other things). Because the server got popular we got a lot of hackers, and I mean a lot. So a few of us downloaded some hacks to use as a counter offensive.
We would play clean 99% of the time, but when we suspected a hacker we turned on our wall hack and stalked them, the moment we confirmed they were cheating, we converged on them and used our hacks and better skill to constantly kill them until they left.... was way more effective than banning them, because they would just come back under a new name. Ruining the game for them by counter hacking and focusing them and no one else meant they would usually rq and never come back.
This was in a time before punkbuster was popular and anti hacking was more of an art than a science lol... wouldn't ever do this now as its not really needed anymore

Well i guess if you don´t play a game seriously, it´s not that bad if you cheat one or two times.
E.g. me and a friend of mine were at a lan and decided to play metin2, a horrible game,
and just had fun by using hacks for speed.
If you hack all the time and to get am advantage over other people, it´s not okay.

Maphack and botting diablo II- that really is probably more due to the game being designed to make you grind and it being better to have a computer do it for you. One of the few times things become more fun with external programs Never used any hacks in competitive games, except in original starcraft for the crash protection when playing UMS maps.

I never hacked in mp games, but of course I used cheats in SP games.

I used wc3 vision maphacks for Island Defense and Dota.
I was young, I was stupid, I was 16.
Edit: Ya, I hack in D2 also. Not as shameful but still, its maphacking.

In Diablo 2 I used D2 Loader in order to run 4 accounts on the same screen at the same time. I played hardcore mode, so playing in public games was impossible unless you wanted to be PKed or most likely TPPKed. Hence why you see like 3 games in public mode which are usually "Duelzzzszsz".
I ran 4 characters in a hell baal run doing this by myself, though sometimes my friend would occasionally join me.
Used maphack ONE TIME on a shared bases game in Brood War. Deleted it after that one game as I felt guilt (this was like 10-11 years ago when I was 11ish?).

From what I've hear nowadays it's nothing like it was back it 2000-2003 when I played. =/

used to maphack on diablo 2 (didn't everyone? come on...)
also i used a wallhack in scoutzknivez (counterstrike) when i was like 13. whatever, i'm not ashamed of it, that shit was fun.

Tried to hack when i was a kid, but couldn't find a working one. lol. The only things i hack now are files and wifi passwords. :p

No, never. I just used single player cheat codes in Age of Empire as a kid. :D
