Water is basically incompressible so it doesn't actually store a lot of energy when it is pressurized. This is the same reason why your faucets (taps) don't explode whenever you turn the flow of water off. Also why PVC pipe, even when pressure-rated for water, will become a pipe bomb threat if pressurized to that level with air.

Are they able to conform a little (while still being air tight) so that you could push in to get at a scratch, or are they more like metal in that it doesn't bend? Also, what is a trigger warning? I see it being used on reddit a lot, especially in regards to people posting personal stories. Is it supposed to be a warning against reading something that would piss you off?

Such as talking about rape. Or show images of racism. Its usually used by people who aren't white males or who are culturally aware enough that white males are not the only people whose voice matters.

For example, say someone wanted to show a picture of a black girl staring at a water fountain with a sign saying "whites only" beside it. Trigger warning would be placed in case someone who didn't want to get heated up about racism was about to see it.

I feel your post was incredibly triggering and should have had a warning. #racism #feminismn #ableism #notallmales - sarcasm might be prevalent... Trigger warnings are probably one of the most moronic things to ever be thought of by the SJW-morons (at least with how they use it).

Trigger warning are supposed to protect victims from experiencing post traumatic stress. Depicting a rape scene might trigger anything from anxiety to a panic attack in an actual rape victim - hence the trigger warning.

Question: I distinctly remember an extremely crazy conspiracy theory website that involved the illuminati, hollow earth, lizard people, and all sorts of other stuff, all compiled into one single theory. For some reason, i can not find it now. Does someone know what i am talking about and can provide a link?

It makes sense to me that someone who gets upset when people discuss social justice issues would also get upset at the idea of giving trigger warnings to their audience. Also, that website sounds amazing.

There is nothing wrong with social justice and I think most fully rational people want full equality for every minority group. However, social justice warriors tend to turn everything into a social justice issue. True equality doesn't come from constantly pointing out that someone's different and forcing everyone to treat them "equally," it comes from people not giving a shit if you're black, white, gay, straight, transgender, whatever group you may represent and treating you as a person. It gets really annoying when people constantly talk about how they are a certain group. We get it, just let me treat you as a person and stop expecting some kind of special treatment.

People who are actively promoting and discussing social justice has always been ridiculed and attacked. The ones who actually make a difference and move people get outright shot or imprisoned. So its not weird to me that someone who uses the phrase "Social Justice Warrior" as a derogatory term would also find the practice of giving a trigger warning as something "moronic."

1) You could have read the post by Mtlguitarist97 2) Said "yes, I would like the answer to my 2 questions" 3) Visited tumblr for 5 minutes (search for any of the hashtags, except #notallmen and you'll figure out why SJW and their use of trigger warnings are moronic) 4) Posted what you did which can essentially be shortened to "No, I prefer to continue insulting you without actually taking into consideration what you might have actually meant - raising the question of why I am even on a forum in the first place" Glad to see you chose the reasonable option. Not going to bother with you any more. EDIT: To get this thread back on track: Why do modern painters so seldom try to portray actual reality but instead resort to abstract art? Not that I mind, but it just seems like the modern cities would provide some outstanding scenery which so far the photographers have monopolized.

EDIT: @Farvacola: Well perhaps my knowledge simply isn't deep enough - art isn't my métier, however I usually visit both national galleries and major modern galleries when I visit a new city. Perhaps you can point me towards someone with a style similar to what I explained above (if it makes sense?).
