First of all, my screen name is a song title. I didn't make it up, and I'm not SickofLife; this is the name most people know me by, so I keep it this way.
Secondly, most of the post was a joke. The first part especially. The second part... most people don't get lucky enough to get a job they love, and their job will suck for the rest of their life. Some people are lucky enough to do something they really enjoy doing, but it's not the norm, it's the minority of people who get to do things like that. Although saying all jobs will always suck is not completely true, there is a lot of truth in it.
My best example would be Roy Jones Jr. The man loves boxing, but he's older now, and he really has to work to be a top boxer. When he was younger, he was just naturally that good, that no one could touch him. Now that he has to really work hard at it, boxing is not so much fun to him, and he's really sucking ass now. (Which is due partly to other things, but a major factor is that he isn't having fun, because it became work) Not all jobs suck, true, but most people get bored with them after some time-- especially when the work becomes tough.

Watch American Beauty, Fight Club, and finally, Office Space, and see how your feelings are afterwards.

The prospect of spending such a large percentage of my waking life doing something meaningless for money so I can eat makes me feel a little sick. I don't think I'll ever bother. I don't know how I'll stay alive, maybe I'll just leech off my parents for the rest of forever which will hopefully be shorter than it seems like it will be right now.

I was watching none other than the History Channel which had a string of shows devoted to the idolized cowboys and trappers of the midwest United States. From each show they would recall passges from these mens private diaries, where nearly every one of them claimed to be happiest when they were isolated in the wilderness hunting and living off the land.
Point being, I dont think many people find a niche in todays society that appeases them, merely because there seems to be an innate belonging to the wild. Hence why people camp, hunt, hike... So.. yea. Time to take up the solitary life in the woods.

Imagine a world where that was a normal thing to do.. say 30% of people go life in the woods after they finish school
what do u think would happen when these woods ppl crossed paths.. ? i bet weird tribes would form, or gangs whatever u wanna call it. then others who werent part of a tribe would have to form/join one to protect themselves.. lord of the flies style aside from that it'd be pretty sweet though
