I heard this story at work that sounded hard to believe, I did some searching and could not come up with any real evidence that its true, just more stories with "I heard from this guy that he knew this guy who knew a girl ect with no actual credit, but it goes like this...
This woman was at a bar in NYC, while at the bar she had a few drinks, and a random man started hitting on her. She ended up making out with this man and later got his phone number planning on meeting him again. When she returned home she noticed a big sore like growth near her mouth. He friends told her it may be a STD and that she should go to the doctors office to get it checked out. After a couple days as it grew bigger she called and got a appointment. After the doctor was done examining the gross growth near her mouth, instead of telling her what it was he ended up calling the Police.
(this part is where I found it hard to believe and wasn't on the news, or even a article ect.)
When the police showed up the doctor finally told her what his diagnosis was... Its a sore generated by eating decaying flesh! The police asked her if she was a cannibal, if she shared drinks/chapstick with anybody ect, then she told them about a guy she kissed in a bar and gave them his contact information. Police show up at the mans house and find 3 half eaten women victims, and he claims that he picks up random girls at clubs/bars and takes them home to make "dinner" for them.
Has anyone else heard this story, or know of a news article this appeared in? This seems like one of those email scare tactic stories like the bug in the bras (way more interesting though) resulting in women having living larvae coning out there breasts.

Just sounds like an urban myth

Calling it: Watch out in 2012, for the new B movie...The Dinner Party.

Man, that sure sounds freaking crazy.
Havn't heard it, almost too crazy to believe, but for all I know it could've happened.

That's what I was thinking, the person who told me the story claimed to know someone who knew the person (lol) but I don't see any reason she would lie to me. So I prolly just got trolled.

Why would eating human flesh produce such a reaction while other meat wouldn't? Is there some special chemical in humans that causes sores when eaten?

How would the doctor draw the conclusion that it was decaying human flesh & call the police? He wouldn't and I don't even think you get a sore in your mouth from eating shit gone bad, especially if you brush your teeth once a week atleast.
Stupid, fake "crazy" story. Read 120 days of sodom if you want crazy fun.

This is obviously false as I have yet to develop this sore. And if I had a living girlfriend I doubt it would be so highly contagious!

It's an urban myth.
In England it seems to circulate in a few different versions. The main one is a girl went on holiday to Amsterdam and ended up getting with a guy at a nightclub but not going home with him (even though he insisted), developed mouth sores, went to see doctor, doctor calls police, turns out it's some form of herpes only obtainable from dead people or something else (i'm not even sure that's possible?). Police bust, dead bodies. Pretty much the same, a few different places tell it differently. Except each time the person claims it to have been the friend of a friend or something similar.

But that is very rare and only if you consume their brain/spinal matter. Anyway, I've never heard of sores specific to human flesh consumption so most likely, it's a BS story just to mess with your head. Oh and i doubt the media would've looked over a cannibal killer without making a huge fuss so if you can't find any articles in newspaper sites/sources, it likely doesn't exist.
