+ for the rock though.
Those movies are really brainless fun. I gotta watch 3 and 4, but the first and second are just fun with no thinking whatsoever
For the record this is the most brainless franchise ever conceived but the formula of cars, women, guns and explosions = CASH. Look at transformers. Also they shift so much because you have to downshift through certain turns (engine braking). Also allows you to accelerate out out of the curve very quickly. Watch any sort of racing video ( gt500, rally, f1) you'll notice a crazy amount of gear changes.
I thought the title 2 fast 2 furious made sense, because they're too fast and too furious. But five fast five furious? I guess there's going to be five fast people and five furious ones?

No they have the right amount of gears. If you notice though everytime they cut to a shot of a shift they're going into like 3rd gear. I don't think I've ever seen them go past that.

3rd Gear 4 life. Never not be in 3rd gear. Especially in some of the muscle cars in these movies which actually only have 4 gears. That said its hilarious to listen to because they are always shifting into 3rd but the sounds rarely correspond to whatever they actually are doing.
I don't know exactly what it is... But I like these movies. They basically have no redeeming qualities in my opinion but I find myself enjoying watching them. That's what's important I suppose! Especially after the first one the acting and dialogue really leaves quite a bit to be desired.. But hey, they entertain.
so when does this take place since Han is in this movie...I mean the last movie that came out, Han was heading to Tokyo so.....
Anyways I'm excited and on a side note, I wish Need For Speed watches this and makes another underground/most wanted version. Hot Pursuit sucks since I can't customize my car :/

Becuase this movie pretty obviously takes place between Fast and Furious (#4) and Tokyo Drift (#3). The movies didn't come out chronologically, Tokyo Drift comes last. So Han is still alive in this movie.
whatever the case is i can't wait for this movie lol, adding the Rock is pretty entertaining to have him with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, I can't wait.
well I went from liking the movies to disliking them over time. I am pretty damn excited about Han being back though, if this is true, he was my favorite character in the series, so I hope he has a big role in the movie.
This movie is going to be MANLY... It's awesome to see Han back since he was a kick ass character in Tokyo Drift. This is going to be a reunion movie pretty much since a lot of actors from all F&F movies are coming back (I.E. Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris (?), Han, etc). I'm surprised there isn't a lot of ricey looking cars and instead we got pretty normal looking cars (minus mods of course) so far.
Just saw the trailer. Looking forward to a mind-numbing, soul-stirring, fine rear end filled time. Please bring back the black NSX. The one used in the last movie was actually borrowed from an average car-enthusiast from Cali, except meticulously maintained and turbocharged =)
