A woman has alarmed her small village in China after growing a 6cm horn on her forehead in less than a year.
Zhang Ruifang, 101, says she is also concerned about the appearance of a second mark on the other side of her forehead.
"We didn’t pay too much attention to it [at first] … but as time went on a horn grew out of her head," said Mrs Zhang’s son Zhang Guozheng.
I didn't know this was possible. I wonder what the horn is made out of. Is this some freak bone growth, or is it keratin or something else? And why did it happen now?
I also wonder if I'll get a wicked set of horns when I'm one hundred.

you're more amazed shes old rather than she being a fucking devilwoman?
Keep in mind she lives in rural China, in which the standard of living has not dramatically changed for arguably centuries. So yes, I would agree with him that her age is more noteworthy than the tumor.

Tons of people live to be over 100 years old. How is that more interesting than something that has never been recorded as happening before in the history of mankind?
We traveled East over the mountains and into the vast desert of broken land. As the days passed my companion told me of himself. That he had once been a great warrior. And that a dark and secret burden now weighed heavily upon him-- etc etc.
would love to know more...too bad the wikipedia page didn't have much info. im wondering if people a long long time ago maybe had seen rare cases just like this one, and influenced art/religion/culture or whatnot....

Also, horns arent too uncommon if you search for them. And by too uncommon i mean its happened before.

Lots of people in isolated, rural places in South East Asian are much more healthier than American who usually eat McDonald and watch TV the whole day.
Looks pretty much like a hoax. But if it is confirmed and found out that this really can happen to a human, then I think we know where the devil legends come from.
Just to clear a few things up: life expectancy in China is around 73 years. While people in rural areas likely have lower life expectancy, it's not gonna be by more than 4 years at most. Obviously 100 is still noteworthy, but let's not give the wrong impression that Chinese people in the countryside live for like 30 years.
And yes, having a horn on your head > 100 years old.

And way healthier than people with terminal cancer.

oh lol... first you should check if she weighs the same as a duck!!!

Take er' to the cross, we'll burn the evil out of her!..
Btw I bet she packs a vicious headbutt.
this woman is no doubt seen as lucky and or auspicious in her village. When kids are born with an extra thumb or toe here it doesnt get cut off like it does in the states. it is "lucky".
this kid is an exception. those digits were surgically removed and are now in a landfill.
They should grind some of her horn down into a powder and feed it to someone as herbal medicine to see what effects it has. Centenarian horn dust sounds like something that would sell for a lot.

Might even be possible that she has bound feet.
To Loanshark: I'm pretty sure they don't bind women's feet in rural China. Bound feet were a symbol of wealth and usually only done by the noble/upper class families who could afford to have their women do nothing. Most rural families can't afford to have useless women sitting in their houses eating and playing with their hair all day. Their women go work in the fields and do their fair share of the work.

It's not actually a half-man, half-tree... the guy just has a rare disease where, one of my biology teachers once put it, "fingernails grow out of every part of your limb."

lol, I decided to look at the picture again to see if it looked like a tattoo, My thought process went like this
"hmm..okay, her shirt looks nothing like a tattoo, but I guess it may seem like a huge tattoo from a really quick glance. Probably due to the fact that the tattoo on her neck is a similar design...oh wait...fuck"
Actuall the first horn grew out a while back. Now she has the 2nd horn, and its growing out as well. The local hospital offer to cut it of for free but she doesnt want it.
Ok so as if growing a horn is not enough she grows them on her forehead. Honestly WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF THAT? LOL i mean if the second one grows there WTF? this is liek unbelievable =P

While this may be true, you're honeslty going to tell me that a woman living to 100 is more shocking and revolutionary than someone growing devil horns?
According to what the article and wikipedia say, these commonly form on ederly people, but this is the first documented case of one growing not only in the specific spot to appear as a horn, but also in the shape as size. Most other cases are 'horns' of only a few millimeters tall, and a couple centimeters in diameter.
