Passing the first half of the map with strong accuracy and full combo is definately the hardest part for me though, the second set of star jumps are just a major skill/focus check when they arrive. By the time i FC this with strong accuracy, i imagine i will have had like 15 fails on the hardest star jump but 300 fails on the first half of the map, just due to edge to edge spacing and 165bpm ar10od10. | ||

To return to streams, it's still speed issue. Someone else I know did Eiji Kuinbii and apparently need to slow down to do well, whereas I need to increase the speed. One issue that seems to come up is how I can single tap fine with the main finger and it may have to do with the alternate finger being too slow since I don't use it often. For now, I'll attempt to single tap with the alternate finger instead or alternate easy maps. | ||

While it certainly is true that both fingers need to have a certain speed to stream at x bpm, don't make the mistake to think that being able to singletap both fingers at x bpm would necessarily mean that you can stream at x bpm or even near it. If that would be the case, i should have no trouble with 270 bpm, while i cant even do 230 normally. It's not a bad idea at all to push the limits of both your fingers, just keep in mind that streaming needs practice aside from speed. If you're having trouble streaming 150 bpm, it may be worth it to try to play 180/190 bpm intense songs (a lotof very short streams), so you at least get used to the speed, and after that practice streaming around 150/160 again. For me this works at 220 stream maps and 250 intense maps as well. Might be something to consider ![]() | ||

Not sure what your speeds are, but i'l go check mine now. I used to be terrible with one finger and that fixed itself as i got faster, or i got faster because it fixed itself edit: By "now" i usually mean "before i do anything else of note" which sadly sometimes means like an hour. Oops Ok, i'l test next time i play. >.> | ||

240bpm half beat gives you two circles per beat, so it's a rate of 8 per second. Jumps are usually mapped half beat 240bpm quarter beat gives you four circles per beat, so it's a rate of 16 per second~ usually that's streams. If you can't tap faster than 185 for single, you should keep working on it i think until you're more comfortable approaching 220-240 | ||

Also, I've found that I'm having trouble transitioning from streams. My fingers seemed to get locked up and don't know what the fuck to do for a second. Is the best way to fix this to just grind streamy maps? And if so, any suggestions? | ||

I was thinking of speed as the reaction time required to move the cursor quickly, whereas you were talking about BPM. In that case, Demetori - Jehovah's YaHVeH by happy30 I guess? Mostly sliders. I have beaten some higher BPM songs, but they were not on the highest difficulty and thus I don't count them. There is Dark PHOENiX - Hiroari Shoots a Strange Bird at Lunactic by sjoy too. It's hard, but I can survive. | ||

![]() I added the border, which shows the play area. I did it so that the middle of the circles on the very edge was lined up with it, then i made it ~7.8% wider and also taller by the same amount of pixels. I had to scale my hitcircle AND hitcircleoverlay by 1.07x (i did this by resizing them in paint.net, scaling to 1.07, then changing the canvas size with the focus as the middle so that it cut top/bottom/left/right equally) so that they accurately represent.. the size of the actual hit area in the game. Who would have thought, i've been playing with hitcircles that don't represent the actual size of the area you can hit THIS ENTIRE TIME, not only on this skin but on quite a few others + Show Spoiler + THIS SEEMS LIKE BASIC FUCKING SHIT TO ME, WOW ;p How to i avoid losing a 1500 combo to a misread while i blink right before a new combo/pattern/etc starts? I have not figured that one out yet, it's almost inevitably catching me every time i go for those 2200 combos right now. My eyes are just closed for 0.1 seconds and everything goes to hell. Maybe i'm just not relaxed enough, because i have to keep my eyes closed for a little too long. I might be staring at the screen without blinking for like a whole minute, it's hard to keep track.. ^1:30 - 1:45 very nice (: Uploading another score now. Circles being ~7% bigger is really awesome (seriously, why would people skin circles to be smaller than the area you can hit? gameplay>all..) but i think the biggest thing for me is being able to use a bigger cursor and maintain a similar cursor size to circle size ratio. That's nice. I think the 2000 combo might be referring to osu standard? I had that for ages and i only played mania like twice (long enough to figure out that four keys was too much for me to start with..) | ||

Maybe i can change that too. I'm probably going to do the mod eventually to change hitcircles and make them disappear instantly when hit instead of having the fade out time, another change that seems obvious to me should be in the options without a pretty annoying workaround ty | ||
