That was beautiful, love the song~ (: Vid incoming, will take a while. Gotta upload 400MB because i don't know of an easy way to cut it properly since my vlc record stopped working (if anyone can help with that avoiding re-encoding several times, would be awesome) ![]() This list is very Aeryn-y :3

I'm impressed with the skill burst, i was struggling to maintain rank for months while practicing some things and it all seemed to hit me at the same time to be able to sit down and place scores like these in 10 minutes flat (: The after-spinner jumps @1:42 are the hardest i think! Also practicing with tiny circle sizes really helped me with these kinds of jumps, i don't have to stress anywhere near as much because i'm somewhat used to hitting targets that are like 1/3'rd of the size, even if it's at a slower pace

+ Show Spoiler + Yesterday i didnt even get a C, now suddenly 77%. I guess my reading and aim have improved. A friend of mind dropped by to make some vids of my hands while playing and i had some insane result (never reached 89% before): + Show Spoiler + I just need to edit them into a replay and post it when it's ready. I have 3/4 vids, still having doubts on one of them.

I,m considering playing with both relax and HR when I'm at college with time to kill. Yea, it helps a lot. A lot of maps work without a great sense of timing (some require it) which you generally need to have for playing non-relax so you need to be careful there, so it's somewhat questionable as general "aim" training in the widest sense of the word (having cursor at right position at right time) - but.. learning to from A to B with the cursor, it's pretty much unrivaled for practice High AR isn't neccesary, relax with any AR is good, you can use it to push low or high AR. With higher AR you don't have to worry about the processing time for your tapping, which is my definite limit right now. That lets me play maps of higher AR (maybe 10.3 instead of 9.6) and simply playing them helps to get used to them. For lower AR on a map than you are comfortable with, you can just leave the cursor on the circle and judge when to move based on the hitsounds, again without worrying about your left hand doing stupid things and messing you up. For both high and low AR it's important to be able to tap them, but relaxmod can help push you up or down in AR you are comfortable with and it's nice IMO

However, there are some drawbacks to focussing on relax play, as opposed to normal play/practice. Cyro, imo, has given some great hints as to why. Learning to go from A to B alone is very good aim practice at the start. However, especially with aim heavy maps (perhaps ironically so), one's quality of aim is determined by the interaction between tapping and aiming. The difference ar makes in this issue is important to note. Spaced streams also make this clear, as spaced stream are (relatively) easy with relax, but a pain without. As cyro said, with relax you don't have to worry about your tapping hand. When aim is your strong point (either naturally, or by practicing aim 'too much') that has some important consequences. It's dangerous to practice aim with relax too much, because your left hand will become underdeveloped compared to your right hand (provided you're using left hand to tap, and right hand to aim). Going to higher ar will, regarding tapping, give some difficulties: your left hand may stay behind in (reaction) speed, and thus create frustrating situations, like not being able to hit stacked triples rythmically correct when playing hr. Similar to this is the 'not worrying about tapping' at low ar. All in all, i don't disagree with practicing relax mod. Not at all. But i do want to advice practicing it in combination with normal practice. If you're unlucky, the frustration resulting from having an aim too good for your tapping is not worth it. With what you guys have said, I think a good plan I could go while I'm not overloaded with schoolwork is relax higher AR on laptop at college and back to tapping a bit. But ugh, streams are still a whole different beast to me somehow. I wonder if there is something I'm missing that is natural for you when it comes to streams.

They were made by filming my hands+recording ingame sounds live, and filming the replay of the play. Combining those gives the resulting video's. You'll have to trust me I really used the corresponding replay ![]() The hand vid is quite small, but i hope it's somewhat watchable. I can upload the hand vid alone if someone wants. I was way too nervous, but somehow still was able to get some decent scores. Questions or criticisms are all welcome, of course. Illumiscape + HR. Small circle map. At the beginning i'm still a bit shaky, but I got used to cs pretty fast. Made some stupid mistakes, but the acc was enough reason to upload it. Feeling So Blue + DT. Generic (small) jump map. Somewhat easier than the rest of the video's. I just wanted to upload at least 1 fc. You can see i was nervous as hell (can't play with people standing right beside me TT), as i had some stupid slider 100 in the beginning. Shiori Mikami - Watashi Shuyaku no Akaza Akari Desu (Happy Euri Mix). Large jump map. Acc and score were the highest ever, but I felt i made some mistakes i never make, so it was ok but not that great. U - Ha tenya + DT. Not really jumps, but hard to read+faster map. It's painfully clear i need a faster left hand playing this song. If i had 300's at all the longer streams, i'd probably end up around 95%, and near fcing. On August 27 2014 11:45 Rizare wrote: Yeah, when I was talking about aim, I was thinking of only moving the cursor around. As far as what I'm used, it's AR7 to AR9. However, AR9 is hard when it comes to tapping and streams are streams, no matter what for me. The only thing i can say on streams with this information is to start slowly (probably around 130/140 bpm), push every note very consciously (no panic mode). Being too slow isnt really a problem, you'll develop speed later. Being too fast means you need to focus on connecting your tapping to the beat you're playing. The latter is very important in any case. Get used to the idea that both your fingers are equal when tapping: although in practice it probably does, which finger you choose to use to tap any note, should not matter (apart from speed issues, ofc). Perhaps useful is to play way too easy maps and alternate everything.

your mouse sens makes me extremely uneasy hehehe ^this is my best "long stream" so far, just opened the map and played it once while recording earlier On August 28 2014 07:02 Rizare wrote: Do you have any beatmaps to suggest? I can do Marie-Luise decently, but Ryu* - Rondo Alla Turca (Ryu* Remix) seems to be too hard for me though. "Half Time" is a 0.75x speed modifier. Use it well - if neccesary, you can open a map with edit, click "save as new difficulty" and then make a new difficulty with say ar9 instead of ar7, because Half Time lowers approach rate and it can make it too low. I honestly prefer to learn streams closer to 170bpm, 140 always proved as difficult to me as 200 and as above example, doing these kinds of streams coherantly at 140bpm was harder for me than 167. I'm still not able to do them without at least 1 (sometimes 3-4) minor lock-ups in my hand/brain but on too low or high BPM they fall apart completely Oh also just for note.. I think that unstable rate is modified by HT and DT mods, so that it's lower than it's supposed to be with HT and higher with DT - not sure exactly what it was, but i heard something like that. Best to just compare on the same map or similar maps.

Check the link, and scroll down to true truly love. I freaking passed it!^^ I forgot to save replay though >.> @ Cyro: I'll upload it, give me a few minutes. And yes, i was actually a bit surprised by how it looked. It looks very cramped. It hurts more watching it than playing ![]() This is the best i can give you. In case you're wondering: my underarm and a small part of my hand touch my mousepad. Edit: btw, there are some copyright issues with the yuru yuri video. I don't know what'll happen, but if you can't view it, it's because of that.

Yea that's pretty much what i do too, not pressing down though. Thanks for your vids! I don't know if i could really use a mouse again for osu, if i did then i'd probably be on something like 500dpi @1366x768 honestly I found this video when looking at the flower dance map videos for osu and thought it was very cool i really like this song, it's quite peaceful but also pretty crazy with the bit at ~0:35-0:45 etc

It sucks, some good maps in there. Some videos i uploaded quickly but didn't post last night: ^pen feeling really good! I love the control i have for sliders like that now. I could never copy that feeling with mouse DPI without using like 400dpi on 1920x1080 and killing my jump snap-ability Two more: low BPM control maps, the style that i just couldn't play until somewhat recently and i'm getting a lot better at but still don't have any hope of them being near my top scores, both of these i have not played very much but i had seen them played before and i love the music
