No, it goes in the skin's folder since you can customize it for each skin you have

what causes beatmaps to be processed upon logging in? i swear i have to process all 10k maps like every other time -.-;

That's painful. If i add any maps in a session it'll process all of them the next time i load up the game, so i tend to add maps in big blocks only. xD

Also finally settled on my tablet area. I tried almost everything, but smallish areas seemed too touchy, and it's just far more entertaining to play on a larger area. I might be holding myself back from getting too good by doing this (since everyone good seems to have a small area), but I guess that's how it has to go. ^^

EDIT: Ok I fucking swear to god I'm getting fake misses in this game. I'm not just bitching about a dumb miss either. I've noticed a few times through the last couple maps I've played getting misses when I was directly on top of a note (usually one of two notes stacked,, but at 8ths or quarter notes rather than anything faster) where my second hit quite obviously fails to be recognized. I'm not moving my mouse I'm not getting any framerate issues (I can tell when frame times are dropping far enough to have any appreciable effect) and I'm DEFINITELY hitting the key. My keyboard is definitely not the issue because I've never had it drop an input.
This only happened recently (as in after the first recent update). Any random misses before than happened when there were framerate issues (still something that should not be happening, because input and timing should not have anything to do with framerate issues, and I highly doubt osu is eating my CPU enough to completely block all input processing for long enough to cause a complete miss).

Sometimes it makes links disappear (has a "Hidden" button in the upper right to toggle them on and off) and other times it makes the screen dark with a little circle around your cursor (has a "Flashlight" button in the upper right to turn it on and off). And sometimes it has both.
