I don't think I've ever seen anyone bunnyhop in this.

that's promising. maybe i'll pick this up afterall

i might just miss rpd w/ deep impact but cover seems to be wayyyy thicker/more damage reducing in this game.
|
i've been playing ground war mode mostly, it has that nice cod4 feel to it ^ ^
im sticking with the famas till i unlock all the weapons etc because it seems to take much longer than in cod 4 to unlock everything on each weapon, so i might as well start now.
ive had no problems with bunny hopping, nades aren't a problem, and i don't really mind the pred missiles.
I was nuked today lol so epic.

FMJ just doesn't cut it compared to deep impact

the best thing to do is probably try to unlock 1-2 attachement each time you unlock a new wep just for the sake of easy XP as well as giving you a feel for different weapons and which you might like/dislike

I've got MW2 on my 360, its my first COD game since COD2 on pc, so im kinda unsure which perks/weapons were most effective and was hoping for some advice on my setup:
I use 2 assault rifle classes:
This is my main. I find I run out of ammo alot, was wondering if the Extended mags are worth it? Should i switch out Bling for Scavenger Pro? Im kinda only using FMJ to get Extended mags, but was also wondering if the 'damage' increase is actually worth it (especially with stopping power already)?
SCAR Hol+Heartbeat/FMJ 2nd shotgun (APPsomething) Bling Pro Stopping Power Pro Ninja Pro
This one is just to level up another rifle, and I kinda like the semi-auto. SoH helps with quick aiming, and i dont have attatchments for Bling. Stopping power FAL seems to kill in just a few shots.
FAL Red Dot 2nd shotgun (APPsomething) Sleight of Hand Pro Stopping Power Pro Ninja Pro
Ive just changed from UAV/Pred/Harrier to Pred/Harrier/ChopGun. Is Hardline worth it over Stopping Power for this set up?
Also, those PC macros like scope+hold breath is just nasty haha

Extended Mags doesn't increase your Ammo, it increases your mag size by 1.5x. E.G. for M4A1 Naked no perks: 30 + 60 (2 reloads) Naked Scavenger Pro: 30 + 180 (6 reloads) Extended Mags no perks: 45 + 45 (1 reload) EM SP: 45 + 180 (4 reloads) so if you want more ammo get Scavenger Pro
SCAR Hol+Heartbeat/FMJ 2nd shotgun (APPsomething) Bling Pro Stopping Power Pro Ninja Pro
Good setup, honestly FMJ has very little use (aside from getting Ext. Mags) because the amount of FMJ penetrable-only obstacles/walls is veryyyy low. The dmg increase is negligible, so far only good feedback I heard was from snipers who use silencers and hardscope so much they don't need Sleight of Hand Pro.

exactly what I used before I nerdraged too much from getting owned by M16s lol.

depends if you live long enough to get those normally. if you're often stopped before you can get your reward then obviously it's a good perk. although at first the lack of SP might make you camp more until you're confident about the 1-2 shots more it takes to down someone

after pulling my hair over the 15something games it took me to achieve this, AUG HBAR Mastery ^^ + Show Spoiler [arg] + also chopper gunner is a bitch just got 36 killstreak with it =/

Yeah I love the FAL. Coming from CoD 5, with the m1a1 carbine, the FAL seems like the perfect gun. I can one shot from range to save ammo, or if I'm coming around a corner I've got a super fast trigger finger that can out shoot anything else with the FALs high damage rating.
I really do think that with enough practice it's the perfect gun. Although I HATE the iron sights on it. >.<

I loved it ACOG'd or RDS'd in campaign but starting over with it naked vs all those lamers with Heartbeat Sensor and the like is mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and the hipfire is sooo bad on it

Yeah hipfire seems really bad, even with the perk.
Ive grown to dislike ACOG, i think RDS is better, not sure why.

Well I figure that the UAV doesn't really help me get to 5 kills from 3 (plus team UAVs are around) and once I get to 5, getting to 7 with the pred is easy and getting to 11 with the harrier is easy. I guess with SP Ill be able to get to 5 kills rather than the 4 without it.
Damn, that sucks about extended mags. It makes the perk 1 choice even harder!
Some of the later perks seem to really suck, like SitRep and the explosive perk 2, has anyone found a use for them yet?
|
On November 20 2009 10:48 DhakhaR wrote: Some of the later perks seem to really suck, like SitRep and the explosive perk 2, has anyone found a use for them yet? Sitrep no, I've never used that one. I just can't imagine going without ninja pro. Too many kids with heartbeat sensors right now.
And the explosive perk helps a lot when you're noob tubing
|
is it me or execution (HS someone who's in last stand) doesn't count as a HS? T_T
and yeah lol, most of the later perks do suck -_- past lvl 30 you're pretty much settled
on a side note, model 1887 (the shotgun) OMFG IMBA.
Sitrep (which is kinda like Bomb Squad + see insertions) is very situational. I feel claymores are way weaker than they were in CoD4 (range/dmg wise at least) and unless you're spamming them with scavenger they're not really good. Might be a bit early to dismiss it though, guess we'll see later

That's the top level one right? I ran into a lvl 70 guy who was dual wielding those, it was insane, I picked them up off his body a couple of times. I cant wait to unlock it haha.
