Team ID uses one too, apparently.. The only time I see them as being really useful is breaking their push to your next point. Arhkangel, look for an invite tonight or tomorrow. Franz, you can get some through the achievements (which have been broken for some reason the past few weeks) or you just randomly find them...at random. Just play lots and you'll load up on everything pretty quick. The other night I found like...8 items all at once so maybe you'll get lucky and get a nice haul in.  | ||

Speaking of unlocks, there's a significant movement of players (mostly top players) in competitive EU TF2 rallying for banning all unlocks except the medic one's. Reason being that all of them are either wholly aimed at publics or bad jokes that undermine our attempts to get TF2 considered as a serious esport (sandwich, jarate etc. etc. etc.) or they're, not as much "imbalanced" per se, but having an adverse effect on gameplay and just really really annoying for some specific classes or playstyles (FaN, TDH). The next big LAN, Winter Assembly in Finland, which is going to be the LAN with the highest competition in TF2 history (Dignitas, The Last Resort (ex-Illegal/Afterlife), Yoyotech, Power Gaming and three lesser known teams that are all capable of taking maps from the aforementioned teams when playing their best), is likely to be played with just the medic unlocks allowed. | ||
