I get back from being away for dinner or something and log into eve, to which I am greeted by someone on Teamspeak telling people to tell me not to undock. I ask them why and am informed that there are 2 carriers and a lot of other nasty things waiting for me if I do. Being hatchery and unable to beat 2 caps at 0 on a station we do the logical thing, and just leave. See if this was null they would have us bubbled to hell and back, but this is Lowsec so we can just insta out and leave, which we do. So we go roaming around the loop of molden heath to see if any fun fights can be found. This being lowsec and all there are none. I think we saw a total of 3 people on the way. Anyway we reach a system about 14 jumps from oddeluf and out glorious scout and FC kwark UK announces that he as a Vargur and a Vindicator on scan and they appear to be doing a level 5 mission. This is something that the hatchey will not stand for, not only are these people missioning without a license, they are participating in the un-lawful discharge of ammo in a protected rat reserve, polluting the local space space. So as such we begin to gather intel as fast as we can and we discover that the nearest level 5 agent is in the system we are in, and they would have to pass the gate we are on to get to him. So being the noble and valiant people we are, we plan a log on trap. About 10 minutes later we realize this is boring and stupid and someone has just arrived with a prober. That someone in weken (this is important later.) So we begin scanning them down, and upon getting them scanned we preform the tried and true hatchery method of UNDOCK EVERYTHING. But in this case it was LOG ON EVERYTHING. Still this works and as the rest of the fleet is in warp to destroy the wrong doers, kwark loses his point on the Vargur due to being not skilled enough to avoid e-war drones, while a friendly e-uni pilot who happened to be near by and is obviously more skilled then kwark manages to hold his point on the Vindicator while we arrive and kill it. http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9831237 Now the hunt is on. We spread to cover all the exits in the system, and with no stations to dock at, and 15 minutes of agression where if he just tries to log off his ship will just sit in space completely defenseless, he begins warping around from safes and belts until the timer is up. At some point the server hiccups and some people including our target and our prober get kicked off for a minute(this is also important). After 15 minutes of these shenanigans, he logs off and all hope is lost. Or is it? We still have a minute to scan him before his ship vanishes because he logged off in space. The game is afoot. Our prober begins scanning like his life depends on it, and knowing kwark, it just might. The minute passes, but he is still there. We continue scanning, getting closer and closer. 2, and then 3 minutes pass and he is still there. Someone deduces at this point that when the server crashed or at some point when he was warping around he acquired agression on the local rats. Thus giving him a separate timer. Some of the most tense minutes of my EVE career pass when finally; 100% The yell goes out and our warpdrives kick into action as we are en-route to something that took far too long to find. 10 seconds later it is all over. http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9831341 After also scanning his pod down and killing it, we proceeded to whine over loot drops, salvage wrecks and make our way back to our home system calling it a good day. All and all not so bad for a horribly boring start to a roam. And a big congratulation to Weken on your first serious scanning and not cracking under the pressure.

Um, Im just gunna say that i had to use fucking 1au probes to probe down a vager. A fucking shield tanked battleship with no sensor strength. Also this is the reson you should get virtues. If i had them with maxed probeing skills then i could have one-cycled them with 8au probes as i easly got it to 40-50% with 8au probes.

I sent people to get any probing equipment they could while tofu hit the internet to research nearby l5 agents and we quickly established they were in a system with no stations and upon finishing would go blind through the gate we were on. Now, nobody could be so stupid as to do it blind so I set up a login trap on the gate while weken best speeded back with probes. Meanwhile I just chilled in local with them, casually -9 in their system while they PvEed. Some random fleetmate failjumped, just to make sure they saw 2 hatchery in local and knew it was a fleet. Apparently he was confused as to where everyone else went so thought he'd go looking. Retard. Anyway, they then got to see there was definitely a hatchery fleet in the area and that it had picked them up on dscan. Later Indy Indy, an eve uni FC we know well, showed up and started chatting with me in local. We spoke for a bit and obviously they'd have seen me by now and must know that I've seen them. I was on dscan forever so they know they were on my dscan and yet nothing. ;S Weken returned with probes and I private messaged Indy Indy who had also noticed my prey. He'd left euni just hours ago so looked fairly innocent and we went for it together (needed 2 people to tackle and didn't want 2 hatchery members in local). Weken was able to probe them down slowly without them noticing somehow and we went in and got the point. I was ewar droned off the vargur which warped out but we got the vindy (I didn't tag it once ![]() We then cut off the exits and failed to catch the vargur forever until it logged out. Weken then took 4+ minutes to probe down a vargur somehow, but it was amazingly still in space so we got the kill anyway.

Low sec is not really that dangerous provided you aren't brain dead. Judging by the vindicator fit, he was. That Vargur fit is pretty shit too.
