Equally you can be the best carrier pilot and provide unlimited vision, but if your teams battleship pilots are noobs that just cant fucking hit their shells (its not autoaim like eve :D) you will get raped too. | ||

Also if anyone really wants to start i wouldn't mind if you put "warrri" (3x r!) as your nominee. That way, if you reach lvl 60, i get 5000promo points which i can use to buy a few special items | ||

(Cene) didn't warp fast enough ... ... sadness.I must say, one of the biggest hurdles I've faced within EVE / The Hatchery is understanding which gate to warp to if there is no fleet destination through TS. Accents are a factor, but its more the speed at which they are pronounced... The gate names are pretty foreign (Atlar, Bosena, Oddel) .. its not everyday you hear such a string of letters.... on top of that, people are usually abbreviating the names. As the days go by and I get a bit more fleet experience, I feel a growing sense of understanding, that will eventually let me..... undock by myself :D.... | ||

Fleet is easy, the FC makes all the decisions for you, all you are is the machine operator pressing buttons and going YESSIRWARPOUTGATESIR, YESSIRPOINTINGPRIMARYSIR. Soloing is making your own decisions, which are all invariably wrong (Me warping to 0 on a gate out of Dscan range, at least it gave me time to calm down a bit and think about what the correct thing to do is, but yeah). The solo experience is mostly nothing is happening anywhere, or fuck, I need to get the fuck out of here fuck fuck fuck; the parts in between are what you're going for, and make the rest worth it. | ||

I said "warp to Michael @ 100" and the destination was set earlier (Heild, 2j from home). | ||

You'll get used to it. :p Pull open the map that someone has, put up on a second monitor. Either that or solo roam - kind of have to learn the systems around MH asaply. More time flying with fleet = more time learning the shortened names of everything. Always ask for confirm if you think you miss something. Better to be mocked for being deaf than messing up a whole fight cause you weren't there in time or in some buttfuck wrong spot. And good to see you're able to shrug off a screw up. :p Unrelated note: Travel got cancelled this week and next week, so I get to hero tackle this week and next! yay. | ||
