Seriously, I don't get how the rumor began when they talked about it at fanfest this year it was always said that it would be like having q20 everywhere. Theyre trying to spread out highsec it might be a good buff to some enterprising traders depending if new areas become popular enough, however I assume it'll just mean people will only use the agents near established hubs anyways. The only mission running nerf that has been alluded to is that they plan to do away with ships being unprobe-able. (which will be a huge nerf to the tengus making 400+ million an hour missioning in low, but you didn't get to kill them anyways) Still I expect you'll continue to find idiots still running missions like you have to date to continue to pad the kb.

Back when probing a single ship took at least 6 minutes (and often close to an hour) and agents didn't send you out of the system every single time there were still only a handful of bears in lowsec. But now, when probing is so quick and easy and you have to travel between systems to get to the mission pocket there is no chance for mission running to be viable in lowsec. It's actually a lot safer in 0.0. This will just be a slight nerf to a huge isk faucet.

They're a pain to get access to depending on what datacores are worth most, so now that everyone can get access to lvl 4s with 20 payout....oh boy.

Also keep them close to the rest of the fleet as for it to not be singled out, or obvious.

In the old system probing a signal took a lot longer due to probe radius and locations. You could only cover so much of the system that by the time you had good coverage, the target could've gotten away. Nowadays you drop down a probe anywhere, extend the range to whatever you need and you're done. Furthermore, getting a hit was chance based, not a % value. Instead of always getting a dot, you'd have a chance to get a dot and it differed each time you scanned. Very hard to probe ships would take dozens of scans (each scan took a lot longer than a few seconds) just to show up. PvE sites, especially grav sites, were the hardest of the hard to probe down. A large grav site with good ore could take hours to scan down in a fully specialized, implanted and skilled explorer. Back in the day I had a fully equipped and rigged Buzzard with all related skills at IV/V and it took me ten hours to scan down a large grav site. The probes back then (Quest probes) only had a 4 AU radius and you could not put a probe inside the radius of another probe, so each system required very delicate and precisely placed bookmarks to get good coverage (good being like 70%+). Since you couldn't tell the difference if a hard site would take 20 scans (quest probes with good skills had 210 seconds scan time for each scan) or if it never showed up because it wasnt in your coverage meant it required a LOT of patience. Did have the advantage that when you finally found a site that took you ten hours to scan down, you'd probably be the only one to use it unless they probed for your ship. I do miss that part of exploration...it's sooooo easy now...too easy.
