Hi! After coming across this thread I was once again tempted to play EVE. I've played 3 trials before, with about 2 years between each, the latest was in early 2010 with which I subbed (for 1 month).
I played the game it shouldn't be played, alone. I know some basics.
Anyway I'd like to give it another shot with fellow SC/EVE fans.

If I get the chance to join The Hatchery, should I activate my old account? (just about 2m sp I think, mainly Stats, which I understand has been removed and the sp can be redistributed?) or would it be better to recieve a trial?

2m is worth holding onto. Reactivate imo. But you might not be able to automatically join the hatchery so if you're unsure speak to us in game on a trial account and check first, before paying to resubscribe.

For the record, we weren't blobbing; we had a tempest which left after the first engagement, 2 drakes and a couple rifters for that fight.

We were hunting ANZAC in isto, when kwark told us to come to bosena and kill a zealot (that aligheri "pro"). Kwark gets an arazu and points him, and we all warp in and kill it. (It is shitfit, and couldnt even pop rifters). He brings his alt's raven to come save the zealot, and it doesnt get me below 1/3rd shields before it pops. His friend in a brutix got away.

When then spend the next hour killing everything he undocks, including a falcon (also shitfit). Im think this account must have been sold recently, because there is no way an 03 player can be this bad.

He also attacked my cyclone in his ecm buzzard, and died. Shtang lord said that his jag was attacked by the fearsome ecm buzzard, and again, the buzzard died.

When a 100M sp (or so) player in a t2 ship is only able to kill t1 fit frigates, there is something very wrong.

So yeah, today's been quite the fail day. Not really got the energy to do a full write up but basically I lost my first battleship ever to a nano mach that we then failed to kill, although that was difficult anyway. Then as we killed a missioner and I was having fun ransoming the poor fellow, a random hurricane landed as well and we failed to notice the local spike and lost another cane. Of course we left a splattering of rifter wrecks here and there but they don't count.

So yeah, tensions running high etc so think we're all gonna take a break for a while. :D

Massively fail day. Very nearly got a mach but we were set up for a different target and had changed what we were doing so often that we got a little overwhelmed. Had a scramweb drake within 15k of it but our last scram rifter died a second before and we didn't get the tackle. We had the backup to bring it down but without tackle there wasn't much we could do.

Then we had two ops running simultaneously on TS and both failed horribly as they confused each other with tensions still running high from before. A lot of tempers worn thin from a really shit day of PvP.
