Due to unforseen IRL circumstances (aka work) I won't be able to get back home this weekend in time before my skill que ends. I'm wondering if someone trustworthy in the hatch could help me add a skill to my que? Thanks.

Body if you find a few new guys with nothing to do and rifters to lose, just take them out on a spin so they get more experience with basic fleet commands. Explaining basic stuff like gate crashing etc would be very useful.

I think I have a spare Ventrillo server somewhere so I don't get disconnected every 5 minutes.

Hopefully my drake will last a tad bit longer in battle than my rifter lol. Lucky, I'm 74 days out. Of course, I can fit one of the hardest to kill while webbed tacklers possible, so at least I'm not made of glass in the meantime. I just do fuckall damage.

Merlins are tough due to the shield resist bonus (prob the same thing that makes drakes awesome). Sure the damage is a bit low (it's a Caldari ship afterall) but you can hit decently and consistently with rockets, or fit standards and hit over 12k. Standards are pointless, since you're out of scram range and slower than a brick. Just wish the hardpoint/weapon bonus was setup more like a kestrel with resists. That would be a sexy frigate.

You won't find any frigate that's more sure to kill a Dram honestly. DD is purely anti-frig and not something you use to go pick on cruisers much like you don't go frigate hunting in a hound :D Replace DD with any frigate. Not even a Dram will do very well against double webs. I still prefer blasters over boring kite and hope. Ill have to do some digging, but a rather high ranking kb person use to really fly the hell out of on the simple pretense of maximizing optimal on blasters to abuse the dps curve on autos while minimizing chances of being neuted. Its beautiful crafting but requires a little more thought input than "orbit 500 heat the pew pew!!11" than most frig pilots think about. Works on most non missile platforms, also still has trouble vs sentinel but cap warfare is always rough on gallente styled ships. Blasters have a lot of stigma attached to them so the autos on a dram appeal much more and I'm will to bet more people have autos skilled than blasters to begin with. But yes proper dd > dram. I was stating drams are more popular as well because they have a much wider engagement range than dd. As a dram you worry about dd and maybe cruor, everything else you can generally gtfo if need be. Drams are also much, much cheaper

Hopefully this means we'll see a rise in people willing to mentor? On May 11th, we will be adding a new reward to the Buddy Program: PLEX. When inviting new players using the Buddy Invite page, you will have a choice of selecting either the standard 30 days of game time or a PLEX as the potential reward for that invitation. http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=907

Doesn't seem it'll do much to change the number of people who are self-sufficient enough and knowledgeable enough to mentor. I'm still neither. Well i know some people have got like 3 years game time on their account now.. so I'd imagine a free 100-150m would be preferable over that.
