I'll know next time, Learn by experience and all that jazz. Because you're using SPRs instead of nanos. Fix that and you have more speed and more cap.

I go out for a bit and Karah finds 5 Russian Typhoons and attacks them and we lose a cane or something. They were RRing and had 3 canes and 2 drakes with them that we didn't know about. 2 bc vs 5 vs and 5 bc is a pretty standard Hatchery ratio but whatever, I don't like losses. I came back and we went to pursue them but they wouldn't stop. We only had a cane, 3 drake and 2 rifter and Cael refused to come because 4j away is too far and he's a dick. Anyway, we eventually caught them and they offered a fight on the sun. 5 battleships, 5 battlecruisers against 4 battlecruisers. We smash the first typhoon down like a boss but Nejota is really bad and rams it because he shouldn't be allowed in battlecruisers. Bad times. So we lose his hurricane and are forced to kill two more hurricanes in response. By this point the drakes and drones are wearing us down so we back off to 60k to recover shields and they all warp to station. A battleship and two battlecruisers killed for a battlecruiser lost (pointlessly -_-). Justice was served. Someone then calls out a widow in Hedal. It's the same guy as we killed in a CNR earlier so we best speed. Upon landing in Gonheim (1 jump short) we see an ANZA fleet with the exact same thing in mind (but better ships and more people). They hit it first and we land on the field in time to take the wreck off them (no good loot) while they gtfo. I kill the widow pilot's buzzard when he comes back but it's not the same. Upon returning to Isto Karah found a Russian drake and decided he'd start the second best fight of my eve life. He warped to it at 50k and (according to him...) bounced off an asteroid, ricocheted 50k into the drake and then couldn't move because of the asteroids. He got scrammed and the Russian warped his dozen corpmates in. I got on the field and started shit. When the fight started we had 2 drakes and 3 rifters and they had a pest, 2 drakes, 3 canes and a rifter. Game on. I smashed the rifter and we set to work on the first cane while they launched a billion ewar drones (every single guy had ewar drones). Their canes were shield fit and fast but we were faster, the problem was we were jammed so often they kept warping out in armour and they could scram us because our post jam dps was so low. Karah came back in a new drake and we were able to take our first cane down. Karah's return was a sign of things to come, it turned into a 40 minute nanofest that spanned a 300k battlefield with both sides constantly reshipping from our nearby bases. We were quickly able to smash down a pest as his cane friend warped out (fucking ewar drones) and his drakes were left behind. Hero rifters did an amazing job of isolating targets as they mwded while a trio of drakes slowly wore them down. We both started relaying people, Karah FCing for me while I repaired, redroned and restored shields but he called a bad warpin for me as I came back. I landed on a hurricane at 0 and it scrammed me immediately. Our attempts to primary it down failed because they had a billion ewar drones and the cane and I blew up simultaneously. Very annoying but I went to reship. By the time I got back five minutes later things were changing. We'd gained a drake and a cane in Valenius and firebolt and they'd added a phantasm and a scimitar to the mix. The warpin called by Karah was again bad and Firebolt and Valenius ended up scrammed. However we were able to volley the scimitar off the field with drakes and then hulksmash the rest. We took down a cane, scimitar, phantasm and drake in quick succession and the field was finally ours. Karah and I were both in our second drakes, Weken was in his third rifter and everyone had been forced to leave and return at least once. 840m killed, 160m lost. Throughout that fight I'd been hearing rumours of eve uni nearby and we had a fleet up anyway. They had a lot of battlecruisers but I figured what the hell so we started our next fight which again took nearly an hour. We opened by killing Sard and a falcon who was working with him because we're at war apparently. Unfortunately they had a lot of ECM and a lot of inties so their mobility was relatively high and our ability to deal with them was somewhat reduced. We had 10 guys, probably 5 bc, a cruiser and 4 frigs while they had around 40. They kept getting warpins all around us as we struggled to stay in a cohesive ball while moving at speed. Every time they'd land on us there would be a few seconds of desperate scrambling to get away while they jammed everything and then a minute or so of punishing them from afar. We lost firebolt early (his teamspeak fucked up and I couldn't hear him) but took a drake, caracal and blackbird for our loss. He quickly returned and we resumed but the next warpin caught gem off guard and he got himself scrammed by a drake. As the rest of us backed off we charged them a stiletto, a crow and a helios for their trouble. I should note that the rifters did a fantastic job of limiting the mobility of the opponent while sticking with us. They kept tightly in the formation darting around the battlecruisers and sniping enemy drones until an enemy ship got isolated at which point one would burst forwards and remove their mobility while others kept reinforcements at bay. They kept dying but could reship quickly enough to give me a permanent rifter escort and I was more than willing to trade a rifter for an interceptor. Gem returned in a rifter himself (because he was out of drakes and money) and the battle began to shift in our favour. Their interceptor losses had added up and their mobility wasn't what it previously had been. Our superior speed and fleet organisation started to punish them as ship after ship got isolated and they fell apart. By the time they called a gtfo we had killed another two drakes, a myrm, a blackbird, a malediction and a firetail along with countless frigates with the loss of just two rifters. 808m killed, 128m lost. 10>40. Our kills in that one 3 hour period entirely filled up the killboard. It was perhaps the most killheavy day of The Hatchery's history with total kills in the past 12 hours being a good amount past the four billion mark. As always we were significantly outmatched in every fight with a large portion of our force being fairly new teamliquid members and as always we outplayed our opponents. To give a bit of perspective, in our first four months as a corp, from July to October, we killed less than that.

![]() And yes its true. The first fight started after i saw a russian cane(not drake) on a station in isto. He warped to a belt and i decided to follow him, so i warped at 50. When i land i notice he warped at 50himself, but that wouldnt be bad, i could just overheat mwd and burn out of scram range while he locks me. Unfortunately i rammed an asteroid as i was dropping out of warp and bounced back a bit, which gave him enough time to lock and scram me. At some point he lost scram on me anyway, but i figured it out too late and didnt warp away. He got his friends and a rifter then klept me permascrammed now, no chance of escaping anymore. At that time kwark was already warping to me at range and got the fight started while i was reshipping 1j out.

I figured since it was so dead (pretty early in the morning EST) and we were in a dead end system that I would just sit still at 0 on the gate with my MWD burning and hit the Mastodon as soon as he came in. The 10-15km would give me enough time to build up speed for a bump. So the Mastodon jumps over and waits a few seconds before attempting to align. As soon as he comes out of cloak, I just Approach him like a pro since he is at a really good angle for me to hit. Tassadar wasn't so lucky because he was almost in the align path so he couldn't have gotten a good hit from that angle. I slam into the Mastodon at near full speed with MWD on (so a slight bit extra mass) and get a fucking hero bump that gives Sard enough time for (I would guess) 2 more full volleys + Show Spoiler [ ] + but he still fails to kill it The guy warps directly to the customs office and must think he's safe because he doesn't bother warping off elsewhere. We all land on top of him + Show Spoiler [ ] + and Sard misses him like 5x, but it's OK, E for effort + Show Spoiler [ ] + Sard so gud. + Show Spoiler [ ] + bm bm bm hahahaha that is such an awful Mastodon fit. 2x LSE and extender rigs please, he could actually tank that way. He'd probably still die though with those Rifters there, bad idea is bad.

Local spiked with a couple more, suddenly the local spike is on top of us and the canes are on top of us from a different direction - one landed right on top of Nejota iirc. It came to good warpins (on their part) and us not backing off the Phoon fast enough when local spiked. This happened a couple of times until we started killing EWAR drones or they stopped droning the Rifters too.
