We can still have that, the game is still good, and I’m still bad at it. However I kinda miss being shouted at for dying, for us being overwhelmingly outnumbered at times and handing whole systems a new arsehole. Of chessur getting drunk on Absinthe and us all going on a roam. For being bored and going on a roam with Michael. For game content I can’t think of a game that matches its complexity. I’m not saying come back full time at it straight away but let’s do the things we had fun at. Cruiser roams, maybe even fortnightly to start to see how we go. Hatchery broke Eve before, what if we could break it again. Fly in the face of adversity and flicking two fingers to the establishment. Let’s go friends, I’ve missed you all | ||

That said, if I did return it wouldn’t be in my old capacity as content generator. Making content in EVE is a thankless task that requires the freedom and insomnia of student living. These days I’m more along the lines of “tell me where you want me to be a few weeks in advance, do all the logistics for me, and assuming nothing comes up, I might be there”. | ||

Do we still have a team speak etc? Michael was saying you can get fights at Jita now with some new 5 vs 5 system or 2 vs 2. I know there’s a big war going on some where but no idea where. It could be worth looking at where people pass through after reshipping and everything , maybe there’s a pipe we can hang out like we did at ec etc. | ||

Finding a fight has never been easier. The needlejack filament allows you to teleport up to 25 fleet members to a random active nullsec location. We yeeted straight into delve, two jumps away from goons main staging system the other night. Roaming straight out of jita and into a fight in less than fifteen minutes. No logistics required | ||

Why would we need that when we already have the ability to play a shitty probing minigame to go from a wormhole without any ships or mods to an inactive null system, maybe, for a limited time, and maybe even make the trip back, if you can, using a series of bookmarks and out of game tools for tracking mass. | ||

I need more of this analysis in my life <3. It feels like CCP have actually started playing their game recently and are actually implementing features that seem like a good idea. I'm pretty sure for a while they had the whole CCP employees can't play the game policy and it literally meant that no one at CCP knew how to play their own game. Its still a horrendously flawed game, but at least sometimes they make a step that is somewhat in the right direction. | ||

Blob warfare is really uninteresting. Zooming around tidi in fast tackle is bit of a challenge though because you have to anticipate much farther into the future. I'll send you an ingame mail, maybe we can fleet up and roam around some. I've no clue how small gangs work around the warzone. | ||

The biggest change I can think of is that link ships no longer apply system wide. Link buffs last 120 seconds now, the module requires ammo to run and the range is ~30km. | ||
