I'm not going to be a part holder because I don't have the money for it, but even if I did I'm still not crazy about the idea. The business plan is to copy and sell them but the return rate of the investment seems a little slow.
You once told me that blueprints have infinite return value, the problem is that we don't have infinite time and I think Kwark is not getting that.
I also told you Kwark to keep your plans under wraps so you don't attract undesired attention. Teach II BPO's is the kind of crap that earns corps one way tickets to perma-camped land.

Notes on what I see the role of the corp as being
We recently had a discussion in corp chat about the direction of the corp and what it was for and all that jazz and I'd just like to post for general viewing my feelings on the matter.
We are a community corp, first and foremost. That means that our interests will be diverse, we'll want different things out of the game and what unites us is a common love of Starcraft. This is a great thing, it means we can help each other out, teach each other about aspects of the game and generally work together and have fun. However it also means that we don't all want the same things and that top down leadership isn't going to work out. We're like a tl chat client in eve with all the benefits of a corp structure (corp wallet, corp hangar, war decs, killboards, green to each other, training) with none of the bullshit and I love it that way.
If you come to me and say "I want to do X" then I will give you whatever powers you need within the corp to do X and if you need help funding it I'll loan you corp money. The corp exists to help you out with what you want to do. However this does call for initiative from members instead of just sitting around waiting for the corp to do it for them. This is an extremely important point for me because generally when someone says they want the corp to do something they mean they want me to do it. If you want something done, do it. If you come to me, like Karah did a few days ago, and say you want a pos then I will immediately give you the roles that let you set one up and loan you whatever isk you ask for, no questions asked.
Where I have an issue is if someone says they want the corp to do a project because then it becomes more complicated. Once the corp assumes responsibility for a project we now have the idea of a separation of accountability from the people who want it done and the people actually doing it. Projects become a job and the corp can't just let them fail. Instead of saying "it's okay, the corp has haulers, the corp can do this" I want people to say "I have spoken to X who is a hauler and he is willing to be a part of this project". I would love people to collectively undertake projects within the corp and the full resources of the corp will be available to them but the responsibility for the project must remain with the people who actually want it done.
It is for this reason that I keep taxes low and insist on giving the tax income back to the members. I believe that the corp has no right to tax its members and that leeching from people who simply want to be in the tl eve community to fund my own projects is tantamount to theft. No money passes from the day to day wallet into the savings wallet and I don't see why it should, the members of the corp fund the day to day expenses of operating the corp but the corp should not make a profit out of it. In fact long term my goal is the opposite, that profit from corp investments should be given back to members.
Ultimately the corp exists to help you with what you wanna do. When Caelum comes to me and wants to wardec someone then I'll clear it with members and then wardec them. When someone wants to run a roam then it provides a base of trained (badly) guys to follow them. When someone wants to start some large scale trading then it is a source of ready capital. My role as CEO in this is as an admin, I watch the finances, make sure bills get paid, war decs get put through and new recruits get screened. As a member of the corp I take newbies out on roams and FC in war fleets and help people grind standings and make isk, I take my own initiative and I do the things I like doing.
- If you wanna do more nullsec roams then take the trained pilots the corp provides and drag them out to nullsec. If you're a competent FC I'll happily give you reimbursement powers, the funds of the corp will sponsor your nullsec activities.
- If you wanna do more wh ops or set up a pos for long term habitation in whs, again just go do it. If you want company in the wh with you find some guys who want to join you and go do it with them. Don't wait for me to say "new corp direction, we're living in a wh", just go live in a wh.
- If you want to set up a pos or buy an industrial or loan money for blueprints or start mining or anything else then I will be more than happy to support it. When Insanious said he wanted to be a large scale trader I didn't say "well we're a PvP corp, that's not really what we do", I gave the guy 2b isk to work with.
The corp is here to help you do what you want to do, it's on you to decide what that is. We don't have an alliance telling us what we can do. We don't have any blues that you're not allowed to shoot. We don't have a stated direction or orientation that you must work within. This is a community, we're here to help you play the game your way, not to decide what that is for you. This is and will always be my stance on the matter. Hopefully there is enough room within that for people to actively do what they want within the corp and have fun with it but if there is ever an absolute conflict of interest people can feel free to publicly contest leadership.

That reminds me. War update. No more losses and thanks to some incredibly patient baiting by capqu (j4s) and myself we were able to trick them into getting off station. You see they thought it was 4 (with 2 more docked) vs 1 (capqu). So they undocked and tried to attack him. I immediately appeared and we made it 3 vs 6. Naturally they turned tail and fled to the station and I fucked up by not spreading my points and covering multiple targets. We killed a cane for no loss but let the harb go cause I suck.

Initiative has always been a problem. Not as big with the Hatchery but with the rest of my EVE experience. People need to be more outgoing and lose the fear of doing something new or flying with someone new. Like I told Kwark the other day, I'm sad that nobody had taken the opportunity to fly with some of the Aquila pilots. The response from the corp was "They never ask in their public channel" why don't you offer your services in the channel? Be more outgoing, it's a game after all have fun and meet new people. Worst case scenario you lose a ship.
One thing I would to see is more people stepping up to FC. This corp is a great place to get your FC'ing cherry popped. Just try to be involved in stuff. This is a very open corp chances are whatever you want to do you will be supported and pointed in the right direction so just ask.
This corp is a platform for you to stand on and develop skills that will make you enjoy the game even more. We have at least 1 guy that is really good at every any of EVE you wish to try out, but you need to talk and ask to be teached and then talk again and ask people to join you in whatever it is you want to do.
Now I want to say that I'm genuinely honored and it makes me happy that people enjoy and appreciate the work me and Kwark do on the corp. When me and motbob started this I never thought it was going to be this big and functioning so well. This started as a nice place for new people to start and right now we have some very serious talent under our banner.

The corp itself is not that rich as im aware of (7-8bil maybe + treasure). But when he says the corp's price range I think he includes people that would want to dump in to also get return from the investment.
(Also, 12% tax with mass carebear makes some srs moneyz)
