I saw Sheth and his team getting trounced in HOTS the other day. Was good to see him playing though. Good guy. Always there for the community and zero ego!
I have been trying out various MOBA's. I am not sure about HOTS as I am not that in to queuing for 5's in a game that is all about team fights. LOL is not bad, but lacks something.
Going to give DOTA2 a try. Can someone recommend a good entry level class? Is Dota2 more toxic than Eve for new players?
Thanks in advance, and hope you guys are doing well with the Rhea changes!

Basically the most important thing in Dota2 for a new player is knowing what each hero can do and not dying repeatedly because you didn't know that Lion can nuke you for 1k hp or that Viper can slow you forever etc. You should probably at least quickly google the heroes in your match before the game starts so you have at least a basic idea of what to expect.
There are many differing opinions about this, but I'd suggest you to just play a random new hero every game, it'll help you learn what different characters can do faster, which is critical to actually getting at least somewhat good at the game.

Thanks. The logic applies to all games. Eve, etc... Know your enemy!

Oh I had no idea Chessur had a blog. But then again I don't know much when it comes to what goes on in Eve anymore. Looks like quality stuff anyway..

Yup
He still posts on it actually. I've seen it cited numerous times over the years on eve forums and eve related websites. Wingspan TT is a youtuber with a lot of eve content and a bit of a following and cites it as his inspiration here

BTW if you are ever online, fit up a bomber and let me know. I am always willing to go day tripping into holes. Fishing is fun!
I'm skilling atm. My missile skills have been woefully underskilled for years so I'm fixing that, need to grab torpedo skills as well. I was failing at skill queue online for so long, I have 65m SP and most of it just seems so useless now. I mean skilling into Nanopest just made so much sense years ago!
I hope to be out there soon though. Need to pick an SB and make a failfit as well or just steal one. I don't have amarr frig V though, but I dont think itll be that much of a deterrent.
I'd love to fly with the legend though! I have such dodgy playtimes these days due to medical things and work though.

Better be thinking about that next post.

Happy birthday. Your next post is your 1000th as well, your wish to reach 30 will be granted! :-) o/ 419 (Gorski if memory serves?)
I still check BW forums on TL every now and then on pure (nostalgic) habbit.
I started playing Eve after reading this thread way back then with the whole epic-war thingy that was described so well. Funny how largescale warfare never interested me for one second once I logged on :-)

nope 419 aint gorski, gorski is bant after ripping of hatchery dudes over a titan and a small pos.

Wow, a legend among TLer's such as yourself plays Eve (or played Eve) and I didn't know about it (having played for over 3 years now)?
