Ok, think about it this way.
You can spend 50 hours finding the perfect character for cheap, and get a nice 16 million SP narrowly trained Tengu for like 4 billion. And, yes, people are idiots and you may eventually find something like that.
Or you can spend hours haggling with a guy like that in order to save yourself 500 million isk, and possibly waste your time because they won't sell it for that cheap.
Or you can buy a toon like that 2nd one you found, for 4b, and start grinding right now, taking you a grand total of 2 hrs to setup the transaction, at most. Probably closer to 10 minutes, but sometimes people on the bazaar are idiots.
Now, with those 48 hours you didn't use, you can spend that time grinding missions instead of grinding through pages and pages of the character bazaar. In that time, you can make shittons of isk, getting you a 2nd character to dualbox missions, and then a 3rd to tribox missions, share standings, and defend yourself better when you get under attack by people determined to kill your pve tengus. And then, once you have a nice pile of isk (you could conceivably have like 40b profit from an endeavour like that), you can now do whatever the fuck you want to do. Or you could just stick to the one to make isk, and spend more time pew-pewing, which, imo, is the best option.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is this: It's cheap, and it does what you want it to do. You can try to spend time getting a better deal, or you can actually do the smart thing and make more isk. Your time is more important.

Yeah I probably will try and buy from the 2nd guy, assuming he's still reading the thread (which he may not be as he didn't respond to the 3.5b offer).

That toon I bought for 1.5 was weird, he took a week to get back to me, and I forgot I even put in that offer lol.

Ok. Can someone give me a short summary of how the whole sharing standings works, I know absolutely nothing about PvE or missioning, so I don't know how I'd go about doing that :/

You definitely won't get that first character for 6 bil. That guy has a really low start bid so people bump his thread with low ball offers. He is probably going to try and sell that toon for ~8-10 bil. The second toon is the type of toon you want to look for.

Me, Michael, Notorious, Zaviour and Devious 21 went to the Tuskers FFA. During the first 2 hours it was t1 frigs only so we flew a combination of Dual web crusader and dual damp maulus The second part of the FFA was when t2 frigs and destroyers was allowed. Those of us who could reshipped into Light missile Talwars with no point. We flew around alphaing frigs/two volleying most stuff on field and racked up a insane amount of kills.

Got this character for 5b after I found a Nightmare in a hangar a few jumps ago with faction mods and sold it. Now all I need to do is learn how to share standings and how I should fit my Tengu ^^

For sharing standings just be in the same fleet

How many L4s does it usually take for the character you're sharing standings with to do L4s as well?
